WATERTOWN, NY — The Watertown Police Department in conjunction with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office conducted compliance checks of local businesses for the sale of alcohol to minors.
The following businesses were cited with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21:
Franklin Street Dairy Market, 261 Franklin St.
Sundy M. Empey, 38, of 644 Bronson St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 4:10 p.m. Nov. 17 at Franklin Street Dairy Market, 247 Franklin St., with prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage. She is accused of selling a 24-ounce can of Original Twisted Tea to a 19-year-old male, police said. She is summoned to appear Nov. 28 n City Court.
Bottle Caps, 952 Arsenal St.
Allan R. Bettger, 29, of 724 Cadwell St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 5:45 p.m. Nov. 17 at Bottle Caps, 952 Arsenal St., with prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage. He is accused of selling a 24-ounce can of Original Twisted Tea to a 19-year-old male, police said. He is summoned to appear Nov. 28 n City Court.
Kinney Drugs, 1304 Washington St.
Lori A. Stanford, 59, of 630 1/2 Boyd St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 7:11 p.m. Nov. 17 at Kinney Drugs, 1304 Washington St., with prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage. She is accused of selling a six pack of 12-ounce cans of Naddy Daddy to a 19-year-old male, police said. She is summoned to appear Nov. 28 n City Court.
Stewart’s Shop, 1226 Washington St.
Sierrah R. Lyddane, 19, of 123 Colorado Ave., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 6:40 p.m. Nov. 16 at Stewart’s Shop, 1226 Washington St., with prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage. She is accused of selling a 24-ounce can of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer to a 19-year-old male, police said. She is summoned to appear Nov. 28 n City Court.
