George and Catherine (Ligammari) Springsteen will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary with a trip to Lake Placid.
They were married June 2, 1973, in Watertown, NY.
Together the couple has six children: Patricia (Bill) Cassner, Lewistown, PA; David (Patricia) Springsteen, Rumson, NJ; Steven (Beth) Springsteen, Vienna, VA; Karl Stehlin, Seminole, FL; Dale Stehlin, Watertown,NY; and Dave Shepard, Pillar Point, NY. A son, Douglas Springsteen, passed away in 2012. The couple has 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
They spend their summers in Black River, NY and winters in Pinellas Park, FL.
George and Catherine are “on-the-go” octogenarians. They enjoy dancing,
traveling, and attending various performing arts and Tampa Bay Rays games. They have stayed active around the home by cooking family dinners on Sundays, gardening, sewing, landscaping, woodworking, and playing cards.
George is a retired Colonel with the New Jersey Army National Guard. Catherine is a retired licensed beautician.
