DEXTER, NY — Bessie B. Freeman, 94, Dexter, passed away peacefully at the Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown.
Born Jan. 23, 1924, in Dexter, the daughter of Arthur and Lula B. Maxon Holloway, she graduated from Dexter High School.
She married Robert Freeman on May 14, 1944, in Dexter. Mr. Freeman passed away Nov. 11, 2003.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed listening to music, dancing and fishing.
Surviving are three children, Constance Mason, Dexter, Gale Freeman, Dexter, and Dale and Lori Freeman, Dexter; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Etta Reed, Doris Marlowe, Violet Glawoski and Lula Holloway in infancy and a brother Carl Holloway.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter, with Rev. Sally Buyea officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the funeral.
