Black River woman accused of striking deputy, trooper while holding child

BLACK RIVER, NYTasha A. Mashaw, 28, of 125 Maple St., Black River, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at her residence with endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second-degree harassment.

She is accused of striking Deputy Matthew Young and Trooper Christopher Wyant while holding a 7-year-old child in which she lost her balance and fell to the ground with the child at about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to court documents.

She is ordered to appear in LeRay Town Court at a later date.
