Boldt Castle to host Fairytale Princesses and Pirates Day on Sept. 8

ALEXANDRIA BAY, NY — Boldt Castle, Alexandria Bay, New York will present a magical Fairytale Princesses and Pirates Day on Saturday, September 8, 2018. This fun family event, back by popular demand, will take place on Heart Island from 10am to 3pm.

Regular admission rates of $9.50 for adults 13 years and older, $6.50 for children 5-12 years of age, and free admission to children 4 and under will remain in effect for the
special day.

Join us as princesses and pirates take over Heart Island! The magical festivities will include face painting art at no additional charge. Sing and dance along in a real Gilded Age Castle.

Children young and old are invited to stop amongst the grounds and have their photographs taken with a real live princesses and pirates!

Visitors are invited to come in their best pirate or princess attire. Tickets may be purchased at the gates, online at www.boldtcastle.com or from area boat tour operators.

Transportation to the island is provided through a number of local boat tour operators, or dockage is available for a limited number of private vessels.

Commissioned by hotel magnate George Boldt in 1900 as a summer retreat for his wife Louise, in 1904 construction came to a halt after her sudden death. The Castle laid in ruins for decades until the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority acquired the property in 1977. To date millions of dollars have been spent on stabilization and restoration efforts on the Castle and grounds. Boldt Castle is open to the public mid-May through mid-October.
