Elissa is the daughter of Timothy and Keitha Dupee, Brownville. She is a 2000 graduate of General Brown Jr./Sr. High School. She received her Assoicates Degree from Crouse School of Nursing, Syracuse in 2004. Continuing her education at SUNY Upstate, she received her BSN in 2006 and her MSN in 2012. She currently works as a Family Nurse Practitioner with MinuteClinic in Moore, SC.

Thomas is the son of Tommy Townsend, Brunswick, GA, and Mary Rees, Roswell GA, and step-son to Laura Townsend also of Brunswick. He is a 2007 graduate of Kennesaw Mountain High School. Thomas served as a Calvary Scout in the US Army with the 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum from 2008-2012. He completed one tour to Afghanistan. After the Army, he attended the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach and received an Associates Degree in Golf Complex Course Management in 2013.

Buffy June Graves and Kevin Michael Pelo were united in marriage on August 16, 2014. The ceremony was held in the Veteran's Memorial Park in Lowville. Minister Duane Farney officiated. The reception followed at the Lowville Fire Hall.

Buffy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Graves Jr., Croghan. Kevin is the son of William Pelo, Lowville, and Dawn Pelo, Lowville.

Miss Sarah Mahiques, friend of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Leah Widrick, friend of the bride, and Mrs. Leigh Baker, friend of the bride. The flower girl was Miss Annabel Pelo, niece of the groom.

Bernard C. and Mary H. Jones, Copenhagen, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on August 19, 2014.

Mr. Jones, son of the late Vincent and Jessie Jones, Copenhagen, married Mary Ellen Hess, daughter of the late Sidney and Dorothy Thomas Hess, Henderson on August 19, 1974 in Carthage.

Mr. Jones is a graduate of Copenhagen Central School. He served in the National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves. Together, Mr. and Mrs. Jones operated a dairy farm in Copenhagen for 31 years.

Mrs. Jones graduated from Henderson Central School and Watertown School of Commerce. She is Secretary to the Superintendent/District Clerk at Copenhagen Central School.

The couple has two daughters and sons-in law, Lisa and Michael Quirk, Brownville, Marci and Richard Wagner, Calcium; and three grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones enjoy going to NASCAR races, reading and travel. Mr. and Mrs. Jones celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a family dinner in August and in October they took a two-week tour of Europe.

Kearstin is the daughter of Ms. Sheri Johnson of Birmingham, Alabama and the step daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Harris of Hamilton, Alabama. John is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Steven (Elisabeth) Van Dyk of Stafford, Virginia. John is the grandson of the late Rev. David E. Larkin; and the nephew of Dan and Sherry Larkin of Sackets Harbor and Sam and Micki Larkin of Watertown, New York.


Miss Tiffany Harris, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Sarah Harris, sister of the bride; Mrs. Chalisa Pfeiler; Mrs. Tiffany Masters and Mrs. Abigail Youngs, cousin of the groom. The flower girl was Miss Savannah Youngs, Mrs. Youngs’ daughter.

Staff Sergeant David T. Carter, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. The groomsmen were Mr. Richard P. Gilleland, III, brother of the groom, Mr. Tyler Masters, Mr. Nick George and Mr. Robert Garza. The ring bearer was Gunner Ferguson, brother of the bride.

Staff Sergeant John Dallas Carter and his bride, Airman First Class Kearstin Morgann Carter are stationed at Minot Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota, where they are also both students at nearby Minot State University. The couple is planning a Spring honeymoon.

The couple became engaged on May 22, 2013 in Cancun, Mexico. An August 8, 2015 wedding is planned.

Amber is the daughter of Lisa Mono of Carthage and the late Wayne Mehaffy and step-daughter to David Mono Jr., also of Carthage. She graduated Carthage Central High School in 2001. Amber is pursuing certification as a Medical Assistant and is currently employed at Women's Care Options.

Robert is the son of Vickie Brotherton and Robert Brotheron Jr. of Carthage and step-son to Tammy Allen, also of Carthage. Robert also attended Carthage Central School and graduated from Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Union Masonry School and is currently employed at Carthage Specialty Paperboard. Robert enjoys doing masonry work on the side with hopes of developing an entrepreneurship.

The couple as been together for almost seven years and is planning a July 18, 2015 wedding.

A reception followed at the Elks lodge in Carthage.

The couple enjoyed a hockey-themed wedding followed by a honeymoon in their favorite city of Boston where they watched the Boston Bruins season opener and enjoyed the beautiful city.

Jerrica is currently the operations manager with Harbor Freight Tools and Ronald is employed with Equipment Rentals Inc. They reside in Watertown with their children and two dogs.

On the sunny afternoon of August 30 in the garden of the Bottle Homestead, Greene, Lars Hasseler and Mandi Bottle were married.

They bring together the families of Robert and Marsha Hasseler, Watertown, and Tom and Donna Bottle, Greene. Mandi was given by her father and her family in marriage. The Reverend William Reinmuth of All Souls Community Church, Chestnut Ridge, presided over the wedding.

Attendants included the groom’s twin brother Anders, Mahwah, NJ, as best man and as groomsmen his brother Bjorn, Laurel, MD, collegemates Danny Pilpe, Jermyn, PA and Benjamin Haggerty, Franklin, IN, and high school friend Jordan Jones, Bethel, CT.

The bride’s maid of honor was her sister Emily Bottle, Endicott. The bridesmaids included sister-in-law Carly Hasseler, Mahwah NJ; friends Jen Stuk, Haiti; Sarah Davis Schwartz, Los Angeles, California and Jenn Utter, Philadelphia, PA. Niece Lydia Bottle, McGraw, was flower girl. Nephews Aiden and Callum Powell, Middletown, PA, carried chalkboards to say “Here comes” and “your bride”. The bride carried lisianthus and vines.

The bride’s mother’s sister Heidi Best sang. The outdoor reception followed the wedding at the Bottle Family Homestead.

Mr. Hasseler graduated from General Brown High School in 2002 and Mrs. Hasseler from Greene High School in 2003. Both are graduates of Nyack College, with majors in pastoral ministry.

He is currently stationed at Ft. Bragg, Fayetteville, NC as he serves in the US Army. Prior to the marriage the bride was employed as a manager at a Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Following a weeklong wedding trip to the Atlantic coast, the bride and groom have located to their first home in Fayetteville, NC.

The couple became engaged on their four-year anniversary, August 11, 2014 and will be tying the knot on September 12, 2015 at Boldt Castle.

Ryan graduated from Thousand Islands High School in 2008 and studied welding at BOCES. He is currently employed at Guilfoyle Ambulance as a full-time dispatcher. He also volunteers with Cape Vincent Fire Dept and Ambulance Squad.

The couple have two children, Maddison Rose (age 3) and Abbigail Frances (age 1). The engagement took place in Big Moose in the Adirondacks on Sunday, October 5, 2014. The date for the wedding is set for August 29, 2015, out doors with a camo theme.

Kaitlyn is the daughter of Mary Fults Watertown. Justin is the son of Arthur and Kim Dyke, Watertown. The ceremony was officiated by Father David Affleck.

The wedding party included the bride’s sister, Brooke Bouchard, as the Maid of Honor, along with Lauren McKinney, and Meghan Sboro as the bridesmaids. The best man was the groom’s brother Jayson Dyke, and the groomsmen were Dylan Hardwick, Gordon Ward, and Scott Freeman.

A reception overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in York Harbor at the Stage Neck Inn followed the ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Kaitlyn is a Paraprofessional at South Windsor Public Schools and the Registry Specialist at Pottery Barn. Justin is Project Engineer at the Trane Company. The newlyweds reside in Connecticut.

The bride is the daughter of Brian & Julie Smith, New Bremen. The groom is the son of Jeffrey & Linda Byrne, Long Island.

The Matron of Honor was Melissa Hirschey, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Lindsay Byrne, sister of the groom, Haddie Herzig, Caitlin Diepold, Megan Birch and Ashley Burke, all friends of the bride.

The Best Man was Christopher Keen, best friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Brendan Doherty, Filip Hadzi-Stefanov, James Bernhardt, Daniel Birch and Gary Washburn, all friends of the groom.

An evening reception followed the ceremony at Turning Stone’s Shenandoah Clubhouse. The two honeymooned in Costa Rica the following week.

Mrs. Byrne is Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Pace University in Manhattan. Mr. Byrne is a Business Consultant for the McDonald’s Corporation in the NY-Metro area.
The newlyweds currently reside in Long Island.

Mr. Keruskie is a 2006 graduate of General Brown Jr. /Sr. High School and a 2013 graduate from the State University of New York at OSWEGO with a Bachelor’s in adolescence education. He is currently finishing his last semester for his Masters degree in curriculum and instruction from the State University of New York at Potsdam and is employed at the Watertown City School District.

The couple is expecting a child in February and their engagement took place in Central Park in New York City on September 12, 2014.

She is currently employed through Samaritan Keep Home.

The couple became engaged on December 31, 2013 and a May 23, 2015 wedding is being planned at The Manor House, Pierrepont Manor.

 The bride is the daughter of Donald & Dorinda Ackley of Rodman. The groom is the son of Debra Lowery & Robert Leddick Sr. 

  The maid of honor was Desari Dillin, Sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jamie Ackley Sister-in-law of the bride , Phyl McKinney, Friend of the bride, Heather Walden, Cousin of the bride and Tracy Cooper, Cousin of the Bride, The Junior Bridesmaid was Abigayle Ackley, niece of the Bride. The flower girls were Natalie Ackley, Jocelynn Ackley, Fiora Ackley, Avaya Ackley & Lyra Ackley all nieces of the bride. 

Best man was Warren Howard, Friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Kristopher Welch, Friend of the groom, Jeremy Ackley, Brother of the bride, Robert Leddick Sr., Father of the groom & Kristopher Bancroft, Friend of the Groom. Ushers Were Seth Ackley & Kalob Ackley, Nephews of the Bride. Dominick Dillin, Nephew of the Bride & Lucas Leddick, Nephew of the groom were the ring bearers. 

The reception immediately followed the ceremony at the Rodman Fire Barn.

Mrs. Leddick works for Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. Mr. Leddick works for Nice-n-Easy, Adams Center.

The couple currently resides in Rodman.

Mr. Briant is a 2006 graduate of Belleville Henderson Central School and a 2011 graduate of the State University of New York at Delhi with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He is employed as a quality control manager with Structural Associates, Inc.

A July 2015 wedding is planned.

Christian (C.J.) is the son of Bruce and Kelly Rohr of Lowville. He graduated from Lowville High School in 2009 and went on to study Graphic Art Technology for two years at Mohawk Valley College. C.J. is currently employed as a direct support professional at New York State DSO, working with developmentally disabled individuals, since 2013.

The couple has been together since June of 2013 and became engaged on January 31, 2014 and are currently planning a September 5, 2015 wedding at Carthage Rod and Gun Club.

James and Christine Shelmidine, Lorraine, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 4,2014. They were married September 4, 1954 at Concordia Lutheran Church Watertown, by Reverend Fred Vogt.

They have two children, Mark (Beth) Shelmidine and Michele (Kevin) Bradberry, all of Lorraine.

They have two grandchildren, Allison and James Bradberry .

Their children are having an open house on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Lorraine United Methodist Church to help them celebrate.

Travis Tiernan and Janet Sequeira were married on June 2, 2014 at The Beloved Playa Mujeres Resort, Cancun, Mexico, in a beachfront ceremony.

Travis is the son of Tom and Meg Tiernan, formerly of Deferiet and now of Clay, New York. Janet is the daughter of Joseph and Odete Sequeira of Boca Raton, FL.

Standing up with the couple was Cassie Tomasso and Ashley Kelz, friends of the bride and Jared Cook and Mike Hedges, friends of the groom.

An evening reception immediately followed the ceremony beachside.

Mr. and Mrs. Tiernan traveled to Belize for their honeymoon. They have now relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona. Travis is an account executive with FedEx and Janet is an accountant with Catlin Group.
