Amanda L. Flanagan & Ryan T. Wallace


 

Amanda L. Flanagan of Portland, Maine was married to Ryan T. Wallace, also of Portland, on September 19, 2009 on the beach at the Maine Teen Camp, Porter, Maine.

Amanda is the daughter of Michael and Linda Flanagan of Watertown and Ryan is the son and stepson of Kathleen Gerdes and the late David Gerdes of Falmouth, Maine and son and stepson of Dennis and Becky Wallace of Longs, South Carolina. The Rev. Dr. Rick Small officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, and her sister, Kathleen Flanagan, New York City, was the maid of honor. Matthew Wallace, brother of the groom, of Cumberland, Maine was the best man and his children, Nola and Eamonn Wallace, were also in the wedding party.

The reception was held in the Lodge of the Maine Teen Camp with two musical groups performing along with strolling musicians. Guests at the wedding spent the weekend at the camp. The couple plans to honeymoon in the spring during a trip to Greece and Italy. The bride's parents also held a second reception for the couple for local family and friends on September 26, 2009 at the Boathouse Restaurant in Sackets Harbor.

Mrs. Flanagan Wallace is a 1993 graduate of Watertown High School, a 1997 graduate of SUNY Binghamton, and a 2001 graduate of the Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene, NH, where she received a master's degree in education. She is a senior account executive at G. Britt Public Relations in Portland and is also a member of the mission committee of the Maine chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and is also a board member of the Portland Arts and Cultural Alliance. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Marilyn K. Adams and the late William B. Adams of Watertown and also of Mrs. Mary E. ("Betty") Flanagan of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Watertown, and the late Michael J. Flanagan.

Mr. Wallace is a 1993 graduate of the Windham (Maine) High School and attended the University of Southern Maine in Gorham and the New England School of Broadcasting in Bangor. He is a self-employed carpenter, timber framer, and builder and is also a freelance live sound engineer for bands in Portland.

Miss Fazio received a bachelor's degree in health education from SUNY Cortland in 2007 and a master's degree in literacy from SUNY Potsdam in 2009. She is an instructor for language and learning design at Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica.

Mr. St. Croix, son of Jeffrey and Rosemarie St. Croix, Watertown, received a bachelor's degree in sports studies in 2003 and a master's degree in education in 2005 from St. John Fisher College, Rochester. He is the men's basketball coach and instructor at Mohawk Valley Community College.

A July 24, 2010 wedding is planned.

Her maternal grandparents are Tammy Limbaugh and Mike Barlow of Carthage and Alan Queary of Croghan.

Her paternal grandparents and Denia and Thomas Klaski of Warminster, Pennsylvania and Ray Hughes Sr., also of Warminster, Pennsylvania who is currently serving in Iraq.

She was welcomed home with lots of love and hugs and kisses while daddy is currently deployed to Afghanistan.

Kori was also welcomed home by her maternal grandparents, Aunt Barb and Uncle Justin.

His maternal grandparents are Darcy and Amy Jones of Adams. His paternal grandparents are Tammy Haridson and Dwayne Ritchie.

Kirk is a 2005 graduate of SUNY Oswego, with a Bachelors of Arts in Public Relations. He is currently earning his Associates' Degree in Medical Sonography through South Piedmont Community College, Monroe, NC. He is currently a Certified Nursing Assistant in Oncology at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC.

The couple honeymooned at Dreams Resort and Spa in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and currently reside in Charlotte, NC.

Angela is the daughter of David and Carolyn Emerson, Harrisville. Eric is the son of Verle and Brenda Walters, Harrisville.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. Matron of honor was Brenda McIntosh, sister of the bride. Best man was Carl Berger, friend of groom. Groomsmen were Quinton Walters and Joshua Walters, sons of bride and groom.

A reception followed at the Harrisville Fire Hall.

Mrs. Walters is a 1992 graduate of Harrisville Central School and received a certification as a Professional Medical Coder in 2008 by Bryant and Stratton College and is employed by Carthage Area Hospital’s Women’s Way to Wellness.
Mr. Walters is a 1993 graduate of Harrisville Central School is employed by CONTECH Building Systems, Gouverneur.

The couple reside in Harrisville with their two sons, Quinton and Joshua. The couple is planning a honeymoon at a later date.

Mr. & Mrs. Daren L. Morgan of 210 Pine Street, Theresa,  will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary dining out with their family on Sunday, November 8th, 2009.

Mr. Morgan, son of Ann Myers of Oneonta, and Wayne Morgan of Redwood, married Beverly A. Ogden, daughter of the late Albert C. and Vera F. Ogden of Watertown, on November 8, 1969, at the Emmanuel Congregational Church with the late Reverend Graham R. Hodges officiating.  Honor attendants were Bonnie Martin of Jacksonville, Fl, sister of the bride, and Michael Colligan of Watertown, friend of the groom.

Mr. Morgan is a 1967 graduate of Indian River Central High School and a 1969 graduate of the New York State Ranger School at Wanakena. He served in the US Army following graduation, from 1969 to 1972, where he served a tour in Vietnam. He is a licensed land surveyor and is president of the firm of LaFave White & McGivern LS PC, where he has been employed since 1972. He is a past president of the Black River Association of Professional Land Surveyors as well as the New York State Association of Professional Surveyors. Mr. Morgan is also an honorary member of the Theresa Fire Department.

Mrs. Morgan is a 1968 graduate of Watertown. She was employed at Faichney Medical and Mercy Hospital, and, is currently employed by Dealmaker Auto Group. She is a past Chief of the Theresa Ladies Auxiliary and Past President of the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors Ladies Auxiliary.

Mr. Morgan enjoys reading, photography, spending time with his grandchildren, and, fishing on the St. Lawrence River.  Mrs. Morgan enjoys reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

They have one son and one daughter, Michael and Kelly Morgan, Antwerp, and, Jennifer and Michael Foley of Watertown.  They have three grandchildren, Hunter and Riley Foley and Kadence Morgan.

JoAnna is the daughter of Jon and Jennifer St. Croix and Greg and Bobbi Gould. Shawn is the son of Anna and Kenneth Schufelt and Joseph Malone.

Bridesmaids included Maggie Brafford, friend of the bride and Jessica White and Jessica Peebles both cousins of the bride. Best Man was George "Buster" Malone, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Derek Bryce and Robert Kurwin both friends of the groom and Joshua St. Croix brother of the bride. The bride's younger sister, Eva St. Croix, was the flower girl.

The couples resides in Redwood and plans to honeymoon in Vermont in October of 2010.

Ashley Marie Cleveland and Evan Charles Antonides were married by Reverend Leon VanWie and Father Steve Murray on July 18th, 2009, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Watertown.

A reception immediately followed the ceremony at Bonnie Castle Resort in Alexandria Bay. Ashley is the daughter of Lynn and Corby Cleveland of Watertown. Evan is the son of Jean and Dana Antonides of Tulsa, OK and Steve and Reen Markland of Stephens City, VA.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline and beaded satin bodice that flowed into an elegant lace skirt with a chapel train. The bride’s bouquet, put together by Hallett’s Florist, consisted of calla lilies, orchids, astilbes, hypericum berries, white roses, and a necklace from each of the bride’s grandmothers were interlaced in the flowers.

The Maid of Honor was Brooke Dixon, Midlothian, VA, a close friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julie Southwell, Boston, MA (formerly of Watertown), friend of the bride; Kimberly McCray, Baltimore, MD (formerly of Watertown), sister of the bride; and Melissa Rodriguez, Arlington, VA, friend of the bride.

The Best Man was Ryan Miller, Washington DC, a close friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Nick Lamanna, Secaucus, NJ, friend of the groom; Chris Beaudin, Winchester, VA, friend of the groom; and Scott Markland, Stephens City, VA, brother of the groom.

Ushers were Benjamin Cleveland, Watertown, brother of the bride; Sean Markland, Stephens City, VA, brother of the groom; Alex Antonides, Tulsa, OK, brother of the groom; Richard Ruckman, Centreville, VA, friend of the groom; and Michael Walsh, Centreville, VA, friend of the groom.

Ashley is a 2002 graduate of Watertown High School and Evan is a 2002 graduate of James Wood High School in Winchester, VA.

Both Ashley and Evan graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006 with Bachelors of Science degrees in Marketing Management. Ashley is a Client Relationship Coordinator with the American Red Cross of the National Capital Region in Fairfax, VA. Evan is an Assistant Project Manager for HITT Contracting in Fairfax, VA.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and currently resides in Centreville, VA.

Mr. & Mrs. William A. Gosier - 50 Years



 

Mr. and Mrs. William A. Gosier of 2529 Teller Street, Schenectady, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Valentino’s Restaurant, Amsterdam, on Saturday, May 9, 2009. In attendance were 80 people. The group consisted of family and friends at the dinner/dance party. Mr. and Mrs. Gosier renewed their wedding vows with a friend performing the ceremony.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Gosier are formerly from the Watertown area. They moved to Schenectady in 1971. Mr. Gosier, son of the late Aloysious and Elizabeth Palmer Gosier married Edna Russell, daughter of the late Harold and Goldie Bridgeland Russell on May 9, 1959 at All Saints Catholic Church, Chaumont, with Father Edward Burns officiating.

Bill graduated from Lyme Central in 1954. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1958. His career was in food management. He worked at various state cafeterias and privately owned restaurants in the Capital District over a 30+ year span. . He retired in 1999 from the food service business. After retirement he worked for Target Retail Stores, retiring from there in 2003. At the present time, he works part-time for The Umbrella of the Capital District. This is an organization which employs seniors to do home maintenance work and services for other seniors. It is a non-profit organization unique to the Capital area.

Bill loves spectator sports and closely watches his favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals, and his favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills. He and Edna like to travel in the U.S. They enjoy their home and the projects involved with home improvement.

Edna graduated from Copenhagen Central School in 1957. She attended Central City Business Institute, Syracuse. She worked at the New York Air Brake Co. and RESCO Equipment and Supply, Inc. while in the Watertown area. She was employed by two state benefits agencies in Albany over the years, Facilities Development Corp. and the State of NY Dormitory Authority. She retired in 2001 from the Dormitory Authority. She worked in the finance departments of both entities.

Edna keeps busy with home projects, travel, goes to lunch with friends and does volunteer work for the Umbrella of the Capital District.

Bill and Edna have three sons, Brian A. Gosier, Scotia, Kevin (Donna) Gosier, Pattersonville, and Glenn Gosier, Schenectady. They also have two grandchildren, Kyle Gosier, St. Simmons, GA, and April (Michael)Gosier Hill and two great-grandchildren, Schuyler Wells and Samantha Hill, Schenectady.

Edward (Ed) & Theresa (Tess) Ingersoll - 70 Years


 

Edward (Ed) and Theresa (Tess) Ingersoll of Martinsburg will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on October 29, 2009. They will celebrate the occasion surrounded by family and close friends.

Ed and Tess were married October 29, 1939, in Turin, New York. They moved to Martinsburg and had two sons James (Sally) Ingersoll of Carthage, and Richard (Helen) Ingersoll of Haslett, Michigan. They have four grandchildren: Renee’ Powlin of Pulaski, Christina Castrina of Carthage, Bryan Ingersoll of St. Johns, Michigan, and Jean Ingersoll of Haslett, Michigan. The Ingersolls also have five great-grandchildren.

Ed served in the Marine Corps and is a survivor of the battle of Iwo Jima. After serving in WWII, Ed worked as a millwright superintendent and traveled throughout the country assisting in the construction of large conveyer systems for several major corporations. Tess was a bookkeeper and administrative assistant at Snow Ridge. For a greater part of their lives, the Ingersolls were also proprietors. They owned and managed the Hilltop Diner and Ingersoll Farm Supply, both businesses were located in Martinsburg.

They are to be married December 20, 2009 in Sequim, WA with a spring reception in Watertown.

Patsy and Heather (Hamilton) Cuzzocrea, Adams Center, announce the birth of their daughter, Caylee Grace Anne Cuzzocrea, born on October 14 ,2009 at 4:30 p.m. at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. Caylee weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long,

Her maternal grandparents are Cindy Peck of Woodville and Mark Hamilton of Adams Center. Her paternal grandparents are Shirley Cuzzocrea of Adams and the late Patsy F. Cuzzocrea.

Caylee was welcomed home by friends and family.

Dakota Caitlyn West



 

Tyler West and Sheena Lloyd, Sackets Harbor, announce the birth of their daughter, Dakota Caitlyn West. She was born at 3:28 a.m. on August 20, 2009 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 21 inches long.

Her maternal grandparents are Sherry Gilbert, Dexter, and Eric and Shelly Lloyd, Dexter. Paternal grandparents are Rick West, Adams and Wanda West, Sackets Harbor. Her great grandparents are Joe and Nancy Gilbert, Ely, Minnesota, Shirley Lloyd, Sackets Harbor, Sue Widrick, Castorland, and Phyllis West, Adams.

She was welcomed home by family and friends.
