Mr. Brouty is the son of Joe and Vonnie Brouty of Croghan. He graduated from Beaver River Central School in 2004 and earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University in 2008. He is currently employed by TRC Engineers as a substation design engineer.

Her maternal grandparents are Lee and Marsha Bretsch of LaFargeville. Her maternal Great-grandparents are Gerald and Joan Bristol also of LaFargeville.

Her paternal granparents are Allen and Diana Mullin of Bushnell, FL.

She is welcomed by her big brothers: Grant, 2, Josh, 14, and Norman, 20 and her big sister Hannah, 12.

Alexis Margey Vecchio, daughter of Jerry and Marian Vecchio of Sackets Harbor, was married to Kyle Thomas Ganter, son of Fredrick and Joan Ganter of Pamelia, June 20, 2009, on Wellesley Island at the Thousand Island Club in a 1 p.m. waterfront ceremony officiated by the Hon. Judge Clarence F. Giles.


Bridal attendants included friends of the bride Kelly Hobbs-West Chester, PA, Marisa Atencio- Madison, AL, and Christine Crafts- Rochester. Groomsmen included the groom’s cousin Jeffrey Lawler- Newark, DE, and friends Shawn Graham- Brooklyn, Tony Foster- Watertown,and John Burnett- Rochester.

The couple exchanged vows during a Celtic handfasting ceremony with the participation of the bridal party. Ceremony music was provided by Todd Nestor and groomsman Tony Foster. A reception immediately followed at Joey’s Thousand Island Club.

The couple took a wedding trip to Lake Placid. They currently reside in the Rochester, town of Irondequoit.

The bride graduated IHC (Class of 1996) and SUNY Geneseo (Class of 2000. She is employed by Nexstar Broadcasting as promotions manager for WROC/CBS and WUHF/FOX Rochester.

The groom graduated General Brown High School (Class of 1995) and attended SUNY Oswego as an education major. He is employed by Monroe Community College Association as director of logistics.

Mr. & Mrs. Carl J. "Corky" & Hope L. Culbertson II will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on November 21, 2009.

Corky, the son of Carl & Paula Culbertson, Black River married Hope Lee Danks, daughter of Darwin & Torrie Danks, Watertown, in a small wedding on November 21, 1999 at Saint John's Episcopal Church, Black River with Father Jerome Wichelns presiding. Standing up for the couple was matron of honor Torrie J. Danks, mother of the bride and best man Carl. J Culbertson, father of the groom. Other attendants were Ashley D. Danks, Liverpool, sister of the bride, Juanita L. (Culbertson) Plaster, Black River, sister of the groom, (Gina N. Fassinger) Natali, Syracuse, friend of the bride. The parents of the bride and groom put on an intimate reception for the couple at Ann's Stand.

A second service held on January 22, 2000 with all of the couple's family and friends present. Standing up with Hope at this service was maid of honor Ashley D. Danks, attendants were, Juanita L. (Culbertson) Plaster, Gina N. (Fassinger) Natali & flower girls Tiffany & Taylor Green, Oswego. Standing up with Corky at this ceremony was best man Carl J. Culbertson, ushers were Irving Barney, Albany and Matthew O. Leary, Calcium. The couple celebrated their union with approximately 100 guests at the Great Bend Fire Hall. The couple took a week long honeymoon in Niagara Falls, NY in June 2000, just before their first child was born!

Corky is a 1994 graduate of Carthage Central High School and recieved a certificate in Electrical Wiring from BOCES. He is currently employed at Time Warner Cable, where he has been employeed since 1993. He currently holds the position of Maintenance Technician and is the main Fiber Optic Cable Splicer for the area. He also has his own business, Corky's Lawn Care, which he has had since he was a kid. In his spare time Corky is a volunteer firefighter with Black River Fire Dept. He also enjoys working on and riding his ATV's & Snowmobile's.

Hope graduated in 1998 from Watertown High School with a Regents Diploma. She then continued her education at Jefferson Community College where she received an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts in May of 2000. She has been a stay at home mom since her graduation from Jefferson. Hope enjoys keeping in touch with friends through Facebook & Myspace, scrapbooking, watching TV & gardening.

Corky & Hope are the parents of four children. They have 1 biological son, Noah James, 9, and three adopted children, Todd Curtis, 4, Autumn Marie,4, and Marissa Mae, 3. The family enjoys playing and watching movies together.

The couple be holding a lunch at their home on November 22, 2009 with close family & friends attending.

Katrina Ann Bannon and Andrew Charles Stafford were married 1:00 p.m. October 17, 2009 at St. James Church in Carthage with Father George Maroun officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Maureen Bannon of Manorville, Long Island. Mr Stafford is the son and stepson of Karen and David Jones, Carthage, and Charles and Nancy Stafford, Black River.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless satin pick-up gown, with champagne colored ribbon bodice band, and cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies. Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids wore champagne and fern green gowns.

Kimberly Bannon, Buffalo, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Bridget Bannon, Long Island, sister-in-law of the bride, Jacquelyn Hemsley, Elmer NJ, sister of the groom, and Nora Spadaro, Long Island.

David Houghton, Canton, was best man. Michael Bannon and Justin Bannon, both of Long Island, and brothers of the bride, and Ryan Jones, Great Bend, were groomsmen.

A 6:00 p.m. reception was held at the Edgewood Resort, Alexandria Bay. The couple spent a night in the Royal Suite at the 28-room Singer Castle, on the seven acre Dark Island, in the Thousand Islands, then traveled to the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee, for a week on their wedding trip.

Katrina, originally from Manorville, Long Island, is a 2001 graduate of Eastport High School. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Potsdam SUNY. She is currently employed with GES, Ground and Water Environmental Services, the Hudson Valley office, New York.

Andrew, originally from Carthage, is a 2001 graduate of Carthage High School. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Potsdam SUNY. He is also currently employed with GES, Ground and Water Environmental Services, the Hudson Valley office, New York.


The couple currently resides in Hopewell Junction.

Katie is the daughter of Ronald and Cindy Brimmer of Watertown. Travis is the son of Cheryl Robbins, Adams, and George Downey, Mannsville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. An outdoor ceremony and tent reception were both held at the Robert G. Wehle Estate in Henderson.

The wedding party included Ashley Naklick, Ithaca, friend of the bride; Jessica Weise, Watertown, friend of the bride; Kallie Osier, Watertown, friend of the bride; and Emily Amell, Dexter, cousin of the bride.

Groomsmen included Scott Bowman, Rochester, friend of the groom; Mark Phillips, Adams, friend of the groom; Jason Brimmer, Watertown, brother of the bride; and Ryan Amell, Dexter, cousin of the bride. Ring bearers included Andrew and Matthew Amell, Watertown, cousins of the bride.

Katie graduated from Ithaca College in 2009 with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. She is employed by Milestones and Little Lukes Childrens Center in Watertown. Travis is a 2006 graduate of SUNY Potsdam with a Masters Degree in Childhood Education. He is employed by the Carthage Central School District as a middle school math teacher.

The couple honeymooned at Secrets Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Paloma Mota and Alexander Foster, Fort Drum, were united in marriage by Chaplain Savage on September 19, 2009 at the North Riva Ridge Chapel on Fort Drum.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of De Smet High School in South Dakota. The groom is an 2001 graduate of Powell High School in Tennessee and is currently stationed at Fort Drum with the 1-89th CAV Unit. She is currently residing with family in Texas while her husband is deployed. Paloma is the daughter of Jolene Mota of Dallas, TX. Alexander is the son of Daniel and Debbie Foster of Powell, TN.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother and her uncle, Dario Mota Sr., Grapevine, TX. The bride's mother hand made the bride's dress and veil inspired by a 1950's wedding gown worn by Audrey Hepburn. A luncheon reception immediately followed the ceremony for family and friends at the Po Valley Chapel on Fort Drum.

The matron of honor was Sehila Casper, cousin of the Bride, from Coppel, TX; Courtney Foster, sister of the Groom, from Murfreesburrow, TN was the bridesmaid.

The best man was Daniel Foster, father of the groom, from Powell, TN; Dario Mota Jr., cousin of the Bride, was the groomsman, and Dallas Doxtater served as the couple's ring bearer.

In attendance were the Groom's grandparents, Meta & C.E. Foster, from Powell, TN. Jane Doxtater, friend of the Bride and Groom, sang "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You" by Elvis Presley a cappella during the lighting of the couple's unity candle.

The couple honeymooned in Niagara Falls before the groom left for deployment.

Amanda L. Flanagan of Portland, Maine was married to Ryan T. Wallace, also of Portland, on September 19, 2009 on the beach at the Maine Teen Camp, Porter, Maine.

Amanda is the daughter of Michael and Linda Flanagan of Watertown and Ryan is the son and stepson of Kathleen Gerdes and the late David Gerdes of Falmouth, Maine and son and stepson of Dennis and Becky Wallace of Longs, South Carolina. The Rev. Dr. Rick Small officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, and her sister, Kathleen Flanagan, New York City, was the maid of honor. Matthew Wallace, brother of the groom, of Cumberland, Maine was the best man and his children, Nola and Eamonn Wallace, were also in the wedding party.

The reception was held in the Lodge of the Maine Teen Camp with two musical groups performing along with strolling musicians. Guests at the wedding spent the weekend at the camp. The couple plans to honeymoon in the spring during a trip to Greece and Italy. The bride's parents also held a second reception for the couple for local family and friends on September 26, 2009 at the Boathouse Restaurant in Sackets Harbor.

Mrs. Flanagan Wallace is a 1993 graduate of Watertown High School, a 1997 graduate of SUNY Binghamton, and a 2001 graduate of the Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene, NH, where she received a master's degree in education. She is a senior account executive at G. Britt Public Relations in Portland and is also a member of the mission committee of the Maine chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and is also a board member of the Portland Arts and Cultural Alliance. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Marilyn K. Adams and the late William B. Adams of Watertown and also of Mrs. Mary E. ("Betty") Flanagan of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Watertown, and the late Michael J. Flanagan.

Mr. Wallace is a 1993 graduate of the Windham (Maine) High School and attended the University of Southern Maine in Gorham and the New England School of Broadcasting in Bangor. He is a self-employed carpenter, timber framer, and builder and is also a freelance live sound engineer for bands in Portland.

He is currently earning his Associates' Degree in Medical Sonography through South Piedmont Community College, Monroe, NC. He is currently a Certified Nursing Assistant in Oncology at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC.

The couple honeymooned at Dreams Resort and Spa in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and currently reside in Charlotte, NC.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. Matron of honor was Brenda McIntosh, sister of the bride. Best man was Carl Berger, friend of groom. Groomsmen were Quinton Walters and Joshua Walters, sons of bride and groom.

A reception followed at the Harrisville Fire Hall.

Mrs. Walters is a 1992 graduate of Harrisville Central School and received a certification as a Professional Medical Coder in 2008 by Bryant and Stratton College and is employed by Carthage Area Hospital’s Women’s Way to Wellness.
Mr. Walters is a 1993 graduate of Harrisville Central School is employed by CONTECH Building Systems, Gouverneur.

The couple reside in Harrisville with their two sons, Quinton and Joshua. The couple is planning a honeymoon at a later date.

Plans are underway for a 50th Reunion for the Watertown High School Class of 1960, to be held July 23-24, 2010.
