Morgan Leigh LaSage and David Christopher Pitre we married August 27, 2016 at the 1000 Island Harbor Hotel officiated by Richard Parker, witnessed by their family and friends.

Morgan is the daughter of Steve and Tammy LaSage of Dexter. She graduated from General Brown in 2013. She received her associates degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from Jefferson community college. She is currently employed at Key Bank.

David is the son of Rick and Crystal Pitre of Brownville. He also graduated from General Brown in 2013. He received his associates degree in Business Administration from Jefferson Community college. He is currently employed at Fed Ex.

Zechariah Pitre was the best man; followed by groomsmen, Joseph and Noah Pitre and Jonathan Wells. Megan LaSage was the maid of honor; followed by bridesmaids, Taylor and Eleni Pitre and Jenna Ritz. Jenna's daughter, Bristol, was the flower girl.

The new Mr. & Mrs. currently reside in Dexter with their two dogs, Beau and Hank. They went on a week long family-moon cruise to the Caribbean with nine of their family members.

Mr. & Mrs. Charles G. Solar - 69 Years

Mr. & Mrs. Charles G. Solar, 1010 James St., Clayton, observe their 69th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.

Charles Glenn Solar, son of the late Mr. & Mrs. John Solar, and Gertrude Marie Riches, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ulysses Riches were married on September 28, 1947 at the Alexandria Bay Methodist Church with the Rev. Lisle B. Caldwell officiating. Attendants were the late John Solar, brother of the bridegroom and the late Ida Welsh Silver.

Mrs. Solar graduated from Alexandria Central School in 1943. She retired from the former Graphic Controls, Clayton in 1988. She is a Charter Member of the Clayton Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and past District Deputy of the Thousand Islands Rebekah Lodge 109.

Mr. Solar graduated from Clayton Central School in 1941. He served in the US Army during World War II. In 1984, he retired as Superintendent of the Village of Clayton Department of Public Works. He was honored as Clayton’s First Citizen of the Year in 1970. In 2011, he was named Honorary Dock Master in recognition and honor of his dedicated and outstanding service to the Clayton Community. Mr. Solar is a member of the American Legion Post 821, Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 328, and is a 75 year active member of the Clayton Volunteer Fire Department, of which he has been President, Vice President and Chief. From the time of his retirement, until June 2011, he served as Village Crossing Guard in Clayton.

Mr. and Mrs. Solar have two sons, William C., Clayton and Robert G and his wife Sandy of Lovingston, VA. They have seven grandchildren: Brian (Pam) Solar; William (Beth) Solar, II, , all of Clayton; Kristi Bice of Watertown; ; Erin Solar of Altoona PA; Michael (Bekah) Solar of Belleville; David Solar and Robert (Sarah) Solar, Jr. of Lovingston, VA. They are also the proud great-grandparents of Dylan Bice, 18, Kristen Solar, 17; Kassidy Bice, 16; Alexa Solar, 14; Trevor Harkinson, 12; Katelyn Solar, 12; Chayse Harkinson, 9; Cooper Solar, 6; Gretchen Solar, 4 and Edwin Solar, 10 months.

Kristin Cheseldine and Chad Weaver were married July 16, 2016 in an outdoor ceremony in the Gardens behind the Historical Society, Watertown.

Kristin is the daughter of Tim and Mary Thompson, Adams Center and granddaughter of Margie Cheseldine. Kristin attended General Brown High School. She is currently employed at the Samaritan Keep Home.

Chad is the son of Michael and Debra Weaver, Calcium and grandson of John and Clara Hermann, Calcium. He is a 1999 graduate from Indian River High School and Charles H. Bohlen Technical Center, BOCES. He is currently employed by Deline’s Auto Body.

The ceremony was officiated Maureen T Slate. The Bride was escorted down the aisle by her father Tim Thompson. A reception immediately followed at the American Legion, Watertown.

Missy Ryan, sister of the bride, was the Maid of Honor; followed by bridesmaids Becky Romig, Megan Whitton, Angel Ryan, Kaeleigh Hickox, friends, Hannah Cupernall cousin of the groom, and flower girls Lynnsie Ryan niece of the bride and Abbigail Pickett daughter of the bride.

Nicole and Michael Brotherton, of Carthage, announce the birth of their son, Blake Owen Brotherton.

Blake was born May 24, 2016 at 1:40 a.m. He weighed 6 lbs. 13oz. and measured 20 inches long.

Blake's paternal grandmother is Gail Brotherton, of Carthage. His maternal grandparents are Valerie McCall and AJ McCall, both of Lowville.

Brittany Nicole Burns and William Walpole Griffin were married on July 8, 2016 at St. Mary’s Church, Clayton. Officiating the ceremony was the Rev. Brother Jacob Bertrand Janczyk, friend of the bride and groom. Meghan McKay, violinist and cousin of the bride, provided the music. A reception followed the ceremony at the Thousand Islands Harbor Hotel, Clayton.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Karen Burns, Watertown. The groom is the son of James and Cecilia Walpole Griffin, Columbia, CT.

Matron of Honor was Malory (Green) Saki and Pamela Heaney was the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Catherine and MyLinh Griffin, sisters of the groom, Sarah and Amy Burns, cousins of the bride, and Meaghan Lass.

Best Men were Miles Gasek and Will Pratt. Groomsmen were Greg Burns, brother of the bride, Joe and Larry Felix, cousins of the groom, Ken Walshak and Arquimedes DelaCruz.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of South Jefferson Central School and a 2010 graduate of Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY. She received her Master’s Degree in educational psychology from Marist College in 2011 and has been employed as a fourth grade teacher at Copenhagen Central School. She is currently a fifth grade teacher in the Colchester, CT Public School District.

The groom is a 2008 graduate of East Catholic High School, Manchester, CT. He graduated from Marist College in 2012 and received his Master’s Degree in educational psychology from Marist College. He is employed as a teacher at Explore Charter School, Brooklyn.

The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Charleston, South Carolina.

Sarah Marie Sholette and Jeffrey Scott Bancroft were married August 20th, 2016 In a beautiful riverfront ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents.

Sarah graduated from Watertown High School in 2003. She is employed by Kinney Drugs and Carthage Central School District. Sarah is the daughter of Brad and Jennifer Sholette of Watertown.

Jeff Graduated from Watertown High School in 1986. He was a Professional Firefighter for the City of Watertown Fire Dept. until his retirement in 2007. Jeff is the son of Frederick and Patricia Bancroft of Watertown.

Together the couple has three children, Joshua, Brandon and Anya.

Linda Wiltse officiated the ceremony, which was held on the shore of the beautiful Black River at the home of the bride’s parents. The ceremony was followed by an outdoor reception.

Brooke Sholette, sister of the bride, was Maid of Honor. Anya Taylor, daughter of the Bride, was Flower Girl. Tucker Sheperd, nephew of the Bride, was ring bearer. Joshua Bancroft and Brandon Bancroft, sons of the groom, were Best Men.

The happy couple resides in Watertown with Anya, Brandon and their two dogs, Bear and Nikki.

Amanda is the daughter of Daniel and Linda Muters of Marcellus. Amanda is a 2004 graduate of Marcellus High School and a 2008 graduate from Syracuse University with a degree in Child and Family Studies. She is currently employed at The House of the Good Shepherd.

Martin Jr. is the son of Martin and Marta Lamon of Watertown. He is a 2000 graduate of Watertown High School, a 2003 graduate of Jefferson Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts, and a 2012 graduate of SUNY Empire State College with a degree in Community and Human Services. He is currently employed by Frito-Lay.

Their ceremony was officiated by Amanda's Aunt, Sheila Muters. The Matrons of Honor were Stacie Titus and Reanna Streeter, best friend and cousin of the Bride, and the Best Men were Ryan And Chris Day, cousins of the Groom.

Jennifer is the daughter of John and Candy Damon, Watertown. Jennifer graduated from Watertown High School in 2001. She received her A.S degree from JCC in 2003. She then graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006 with a B.S in Hotel/Resort & Restaurant Mgmt. She is currently employed at Renzi Foodservice as a Category Manager.

Bradley is the son of Doug Halladay and step son of Peggy Halladay, Lowville. Bradley graduated from Carthage High School in 2001. He is currently employed with Aarons as an Accounts Manager.
Danyelle Brown was the Maid of Honor; followed by bridesmaids Ashley Kerr, Rebecca Wright, Heidi Hirschey, Stacey Scee and Jean Didas. The newlyweds had their daughter Abigail Halladay as the Flower Girl.

Dustin Makuch was the Best Man; followed by the groomsmen Derek Matuszczak, Kyle Ritz, Aaron King, Shawn Romeo and Lonnie Shippee. Jameson Wright, son of Rebecca and Bruce Wright, was the Ring Bearer.
The couple currently resides in their home in Sackets Harbor and went on a weeklong honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

Harry E. & Sharon J. Potter - 60 Years

 

On September 8, 1956 Harry E. Potter and Sharon J. Gassman were joined in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Attica with the Rev. Donald Buddle officiating. Mr. Potter is the son of the late George and Olive Potter of Sidney, Maine. Mrs. Potter is the daughter of the late Howard and Edith Gassman of Attica.

The couple met in 1954 when Mr. Potter came to work as a Soil Conservationist in Batavia following graduation from the University of Maine. Mrs. Potter was working for the Ag Department of Genesee County Cooperative Extension, which was across the hall from the Soil Conservationist office. It was not long before a romance began.

After their marriage, the couple located in Berlin, New York where Mr. Potter had taken a job as an engineer on the Little Hoosick Watershed. It was in 1967 that Mr. Potter was appointed District Soil Conservationist for Jefferson County and they moved to Watertown and bought property at 27256 Perch Lake Road, Watertown where they still reside. They are the parents of three children, Jeffrey of Aurora, Illinois; Jon of Wheatland, Wyoming and Ellen Shannon of Effingham, New Hampshire. They have six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Mr. Potter retired from the Soil Conservation Service in 1982, but remained active on many agricultural related committees. He served on the Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors for several years and held various positions on the Town of Pamelia Planning Board for 30 years. He has been a member of Maine Masonic Rural Lodge #53 since 1953.

Mrs. Potter attended Keuka College. She was a stay-at-home Mom while raising their family and then worked part time at various local law firms. She has been part time parish secretary for the Dexter/Brownville United Methodist Church for 37 years. She belongs to Beta Sigma Phi sorority, the Ladybugs Red Hats and a book group at Flower Memorial Library.

The couple enjoyed raising sheep for nearly 50 years and hosting many school and pre-school field trips. They enjoy reading, gardening, traveling, have an avid interest in nature and are very active in their church. They feel very blessed to have reached this milestone and the many friendships they have made along the way.

The couple with be married November 26 at the Ridge View Inn and will subsequently make their home in Croghan.

Kaleb is the son of Eric and Angie Loar of Theresa. Kaleb is also a 2014 graduate of Indian River. Kaleb attends Clarkson University for Computer Science and Mathematics and will graduate in 2018. He is currently working at Lowe’s while he attends school.

The couple enjoy watching Penguins Hockey, Steelers Football and being outdoors. A wedding is planned for May of 2017.

Morgan is the daughter of David and Tracy Gunderson, Natural Bridge. Morgan graduated Carthage High School 2009. She received her A.S. degree from JCC in 2012. She then graduated with honors from NCCC with a degree on Radiological Technology. She is currently employed at the Carthage Area Hospital.

Cole is the son of John and Mary Paradise, Carthage. He graduated from Carthage High School and Charles H. Bohlen Technical Center, BOCES in 2008. He is currently employed by New York State Department of Transportation.

Rev. Michael Thesier, officiated the ceremony. The Bride was escorted down the aisle by her father to “Edelweiss” played by violinist, Fausta Poste and Erin Shambo of Rosin Rhapsody. A reception immediately followed at the Elks Club, Lowville.

Guest travelled from Florida, Kentucky, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania to be part of the special day.

Kristen Gunderson, sister of the bride, was the Maid of Honor; followed by bridesmaids Leisel and Sophia Gunderson, sister’s of the bride, Laura Costes, cousin of the groom and close friend Natalie Sparacino

John Paradise II (JP), brother of the groom, was Best Man; followed by groomsman Dustin Prievo, Joseph Sparacino, Jerrod Johnson, Christopher Sparacino and Derek Chaffee.

The newly married couple enjoyed a week long honeymoon in Jamaica.

Jaxen Thomas Stoner was brought into this world on July 26, 2016 at 9:32 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 9 oz and 21.5 inches. long. He was born at Samaritan Medical Center and delivered by Doctor Dodard.

He was brought home by mom & dad, Brooks Clark & Kenneth Stoner, with big brother, Karter, waiting. He has two sets of loving grandparents, (maternal) Rebecca and Thomas Young of Watertown and (paternal) Kellie and Michael Stoner of Henderson. He also has five uncles and three aunts, and several cousins.

Samantha and Antonio Brancatella announce the birth of their daughter, Sophia Arlene Brancatella. Sophia was born Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 12:14 a.m. at Carthage Area Hospital. She was delivered by Joyce Wilder. Sophia weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. and measured 20 inches long.

Paternal grandparents are Lorraine J. and Pasquale S. Brancatella of Philadelphia.

Bill & Debbie Elliott - 40 Years

 

Mr. and Mrs. William J. Elliott are observing their 40th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2016.

Mr. Elliott is the son of the late Garnet and Durma Elliott, Adams. Deborah J. Petrie is the daughter of Gerald "Pete" and Carolyn Petrie, Adams Center. The couple were married on August 14, 1976 at the Adams Village Baptist Church and later renewed their vows at Saint Cecilia's Catholic Church in Adams. Attendants at their ceremony were groomsmen David Lowe, David Belloff, Bill Maxon (deceased), Jim Elliott, Lynn Petrie and Kenneth Petrie. Bridesmaids were Linda Grieco (Ebensberger), Cheryl Waite (Robbins), Joan Crast (Paprocki), Patricia Petrie, Jacqueline Petrie (Ladue) and Lori Elliott (Porter).

Mr. Elliott, a 1969 graduate of South Jefferson High School, initially employed by the Thousand Island Park Commission at Henderson. Bill graduated in 1975 from the New York State Police Academy, working in law enforcement for 19 years upon retiring in 1995 . While in law enforcement Bill worked as a New York State Police Trooper (Troop D Oneida), and as an Investigator with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Mrs. Elliott, a 1973 graduate of South Jefferson High School went on to work in the family business at Pete's Red Restaurant in Adams Center. Upon the restaurant closing, she then worked at Century 21 department store before becoming a teachers assistant at Wilson Elementary, South Jefferson Central School. Beginning in 1995 through present, Deborah has assisted William, in the acquisition and formation of their real estate business.

In 1995, Bill and Debbie acquired Penny Cool Realty Inc. in Henderson, eventually forming Elliott Realty Inc. Following 19 years of owning and operating Elliott Realty Inc., Bill and Debbie sold their real estate business to Realty USA in 2014, where Bill continues working as a licensed real estate broker.

The couple enjoys antiquing, gardening, and traveling with friends and family. They recently completed construction on their new lake house, where they look forward to spending quality time with their family and friends.

Bill and Debbie, have two children, Elizabeth Newton wife of Steven, and Matthew Elliott husband of Katherine. They have four grandsons; Noah 17, Owen 11, Ethan 11 and Samuel 8 as well as one granddaughter, Ava 4.

Natalie is the daughter of Steven and Trudy Hall of Cape Vincent. She is a 2008 graduate of Thousand Islands High School and a 2014 Graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy. Natalie is currently the Supervising Pharmacist at Kinney Drugs in Alexandria Bay.

Adam is the son of John and Christine Powers of Clayton. He is a 2008 graduate of Thousand Islands High School and a 2012 graduate of Clarkson University. Adam is currently a Project Superintendent for Barrett Paving in Watertown.

Natalie’s Aunt Tasha Fausto officiated a beautiful ceremony at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel followed by a reception on site. The maids of honor were Abigail Keeley and Sarah Jeneault, friends of the bride; followed by bridesmaids Lydia Maloney, Jessica Griffin, Brittany Hirst, Michelle Lindsay, Aimee Okonski and Tasha Fausto. The best men were Cameron Sitarek and Benjamin Barton, friends of the groom; followed by groomsmen David Powers, Nathan Hall, Eric Thomas, Ryan Skinner, Tyler Forger and Casey Calhoun.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Powers reside at their home in Cape Vincent and they are looking forward to a lifetime of love and happiness together.

Aubrey is the daughter of Linda and Michael O'Connor of Carthage and Cecil Mellen of Three Mile Bay. Aubrey is a 2009 graduate of Carthage High School and a 2015 graduate of Jefferson Community College, with her Associates Degree in Business Administration. She currently is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Business at SUNY Potsdam, and is employed at Buffalo Wild Wings in Watertown.

Joseph is the son of Jodi and Nicholas Perruccio of Florida, and the late Greg Cook. He is a 2006 graduate of Thousand Islands High School, and a 2013 graduate of Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage. Joe is employed in Watertown and Clayton as a licensed massage therapist.

Joe and Aubrey will reside in Chaumont. They enjoy cooking together, being on the water, spending time with family & friends, and serving at New Life Christian Church where they met. A wedding is planned for April 22, 2017 in Watertown.

Crystal B. Hadley and Alexandre R. Albanito were married on July 2, 2016 at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Crystal is the daughter of Christopher and Julia Hadley of Carthage. She is a 2010 Graduate of Carthage Senior High School. Crystal is currently serving in the United States Army while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Alexandre is the son of John and Bonnie Kobett of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He is a 2011 Graduate of Eden Prairie High School. Alexandre is also serving in the United States Army while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Both Crystal and Alexandre are Health Care Specialists. They met while training in June 2013 at Fort Sam-Houston in San Antonio, Texas.

The couple enjoys playing racquetball, having game night, and cooking together. The couple currently resides in Alexandria, VA while stationed at Fort Myer, VA. They look forward to many years of new adventures and travels.

Julian was born Friday, May 20, 2016 at 7:59 a.m. at Samaritan Medical Center. Julian weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and measured 20.5 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Kurt & Maureen Robbins, Watertown. Paternal grandparents are Scott Backus, Three Mile Bay and the late Julie Valvo Backus.

Julian was welcomed home by many friends and family, as well as his two German Shepherds, Nash and Kobe.

Arthur and Patricia Zaremba announce the marriage of their daughter, Ashley Zaremba, to Andrew Carducci, son of Kathy Boland and Thomas Carducci.

The couple was married on July 1, 2016 at St.Patrick's Church. The wedding was officiated by Msgr. Aucoin and followed by a reception at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel.

Ashley graduated from Immaculate Heart Central in 2006 and went on to attend LeMoyne College. She graduated from LeMoyne in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a concentration in Dual Childhood and Special Education. She continued on to receive her Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from Syracuse University, and is currently completing her Certificate of Advanced Studies towards School Building & District Leadership. She pursued a career in education and currently works for the Fayetteville-Manlius School District.

Andrew was born and raised in Syracuse, New York, the youngest of two. He graduated in 2004 from Henninger High School and also went on to attend LeMoyne College. Andrew graduated from LeMoyne with a degree in Business Administration and in 2011, Andrew joined the Syracuse Fire Department where he is currently employed.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Carducci reside in Syracuse and they are looking forward to a lifetime of love and happiness together.

She then went on to study Ophthalmic Dispensing with the National Academy of Opticianry and became a Licensed Optician in 2013. She is currently employed at Visionworks in Watertown.

Michael is the son of Arnold and Joanne Lazore of Carthage. He is a 2006 graduate of Immaculate Heart Central. He graduated Hobart College in 2010 with a Bachelors degree in American Studies. He is currently employed by the New York State Department of Corrections. In 2011 he started playing Major League Lacrosse and currently plays for the Rochester Rattlers.

The couple enjoy camping, hiking, and kayaking. They reside in Watertown with their chocolate Labradoodle, Jory.

Stephanie E. Bauer and Matthew M. Yancey were married on May 28, 2016 at The Hayloft at Moonshine Farms in Port Leyden.

Stephanie is the daughter of Elizabeth Bauer and the late Eric Bauer of Williamsville, NY. She is a 2010 graduate of Williamsville South High School. Stephanie graduated from Canisius College in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and from University at Buffalo in 2015 with her Masters in Social Work. She currently works as a clinical therapist at the Behavioral Health and Wellness Center in Lowville.

Matthew is the son of Daniel and Debra Yancey of Copenhagen. He is the 2010 graduate of Lowville Academy. Matt graduated in 2012 from SUNY Canton with a degree in automotive technology. He currently works for the NYS Department of Transportation as a motor equipment mechanic.

Pastor George Gray of River of Life Fellowship officiated the outdoor ceremony which was followed by a reception at The Hayloft at Moonshine Farms. The maid of honor was Allison Bauer, sister of the bride; followed by bridesmaids Andrea Dycha, Megan McPeak, Jenna Poinan, Alyssa Pepe, and Emily Yancey. The best man was Marcus Yancey, brother of the groom; followed by groomsmen Zachary Nicol, Tyler Lago, James Lafountain, Joshua Reed, and Derek Nicol.

Mr. and Mrs. Yancey currently reside in Carthage and look forward to many years of happiness.

Paul & Lou Ann Cesario - 35 Years

 

Paul and Lou Ann Cesario, North Lake Road, Carthage, celebrate 35 years together. They were married Aug 15, 1981 at St Paul's Episcopal Church, Watertown.

Lou Ann is a graduate of WHS 1972
She took courses in computer classes at JCC and ran a hair salon from home and then on Fort Drum. When the Iraq war began she was hired as a medical clerk to help with medical deployment, retiring in 2012.

Paul is a 1976 Carthage graduate.
He attended Canton ATC and graduated in 1978. He has been a contractor inspector on Fort Drum for 34 years, retiring in July 2016.

They both enjoy golf and gardening. The grandchildren are their hearts.

They have a son, Joseph, serving his country in the Army for 21 years and married to Michele Piccione and have a son, Dominic.

A daughter, Jessica, is employed at the 1000 Islands School District and married to Gene Thompson and have a son, Sage.

Patrick Kevin Hunt and Mary Louise Hunt, Watertown, celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on July 24, 2016.

They were married July 24, 1971 at the St. Anthony's Church in Watertown.

Patrick retired in 2012 from the Carthage Central School District where he was a 4th grade teacher at Black River Elementary. He currently volunteers at the Sally Ploof Hunter Memorial Library in Black River.

Mary Louise also retired from the Carthage Central School District in 2008 where she was a 3rd grade teacher. She currently works at the Sally Ploof Hunter Memorial Library and creates many of the children's programs for the community.

The couple has two daughters, Amber (Bob), Fayetteville, and Angel (Vicki), Warners, along with a son Shawn, Black River. They currently have one granddaughter but by the end of the summer they will be blessed with one more granddaughter and twin grandsons.

The couple resides in West Chazy with their Black Labrador, Rheya. They were engaged October 9, 2015, while taking family pictures. A May 2017 wedding is planned on the St. Lawrence River, surrounded by family and friends.

Tricia is the daughter of William Glasper of Watertown and Sherry Bright of Hawaii. She is a graduate of Watertown High School. She attended Jefferson Community College for business and later on got a degree as a nursing assistant and works at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown.

Ryan is the son of James and Christine Loomis of Watertown. He attended Watertown High School. He currently owns his own lawn and snow removal business, Loomis Lawn Care.

The couple meet in Junior High were they were just friends, and went all through High School as well and started dating shortly after graduation.

They were attended by family and friends at The Manor House for the reception, followed by the ceremony. In the wedding was Best Man Jon Kunz escorted by Matron of Honor Aimee Tarin. Groomsmen AJ Biggs escorted by Bridesmaid Shaelynn Miller. Groomsmen Jonathan Loomis escorted by Bridesmaid McAllister. Ring Bears Noah and Ryder Loomis and Flower Girl Caelyn Glasper.

Together with their families, Mr. & Mrs. William (Bill) Cratsenberg of Calcium will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 2, 2016.

Mr. Cratsenberg, the son of Ralph & Ethel (LaForty) Cratsenberg, married Janet Dalton, the daughter of John (Kenneth) and Sarah Dalton, at the United Methodist Church on Main Street in Copenhagen on July 2nd, 1966. Attendants were Elizabeth (Toots) and John Shultz, friends of the bride and groom. The bride was given away by her father. A small reception was held on the front lawn at the Cratsenberg home on Main Street in Copenhagen. The newlyweds honeymooned in Ontario Canada, visiting Upper Canada Village.

Mrs. Cratsenberg attended school at Indian River Central School until her senior year, when she graduated from Gouverneur High School. She worked for many years at Stature Electric, McDonald's in LeRay, Velocity Express and is currently enjoying retirement.

Mr. Cratsenberg attended school at Copenhagen Central and also attended courses at R.I.T. in Rochester. He was a tractor trailer owner/operator who drove for Ranger Transportation for many years, he also drove as a courier for Velocity Express, then hauled mail for the U.S. Postal Service through private contractors. He is now currently employed by Penske Truck Rental in Watertown.

They have three children, Mark & Lisa Cratsenberg of LaFargeville, Tammy & William Herbst of Walworth and Tina & Paul Timmerman of Rodman.

They have five grandchildren: Amanda (Joles) Schober, Bethany & Olivia Cratsenberg, Dillan Stoddard & Brittany (Stoddard) Stephens. They have three great grandchildren: Sophia & Mackenzie Stephens and Wyatt Stoddard.

They are planning a trip to Ontario Canada to revisit Upper Canada Village in the coming weeks.

Mr. Carlisle the son of Edward and Frances Carlisle, married Carol Tibbles, the daughter of Katherine Tibbles, at the First Methodist Church on Bolton Ave, Alexandria Bay.

Attendants where Linda Carlisle Schwandner, sister of the groom, Mildred Wagoner, friend of the bride and Ross Wagone,r uncle of the groom. The bride was given away by her Uncle, Worth Tibbles, on his birthday.

Mrs. Carlisle attended school in Carthage. She worked at various laundromats, Edgewood resort, Bonnie Castle resort and she currently works at the Riveredge Resort in Alexandria Bay.

Mr. Carlisle attended school in Plessis. He worked at the New York State Air Brake, Bundy Concrete, Jefferson Concrete and retired from Cherry Island as a grounds keeper.

They have four children, Roscoe (Rocky) Carlisle Jr. and his companion, Amanda Johnson, of Plessis; Peggy (Fred) Schraenkler of Adams; Karen (Billy) Denner of Alexandria Bay; and daughter, Jackie Carlisle, who died at birth.

They have five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.

Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Herzig will celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on June 30, 2016

Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Herzig of Watertown will be feted on July 10 in celebration of their 60th anniversary. The occasion hosted by their children will be held at the Post 61 American Legion where friends and family will enjoy an afternoon of fellowship, dinner and dancing.

Mr. Herzig son of the late Roland and Elizabeth Geiser of Beaver Falls and Carol Prittie daughter of the late Leonard and Helen Prittie of Natural Bridge were united in marriage on June 30, 1956 at the Beaver Falls Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Bird officiating. Jane Daby, Parishville was her sister's Maid of Honor and Thomas Spina of Syracuse was Best Man.

Mr. Herzig entered the army in 1951 serving in Korea as a Tank Commander until his discharge in 1953. He worked many years in the trucking industry in Syracuse, Massena and Watertown where he became Terminal Manager for Deluxe Lines until the company closed. He retired from NYSDOT in 1995. He enjoys baseball and the pursuit of big game hunting and trout fishing.

Mrs. Herzig graduated from West Carthage High School and attended Smith Tech in Syracuse. She was employed by General Electric before settling in Watertown where she was employed in retail. Through the years she spent much time in numerous volunteer programs including 14 seasons as a tax preparer.

Mr. & Mrs. Herzig winter in Florida enjoying music, dancing, family, friends and travel. Their daughter, Laurie, and husband, James Griffith, reside in Adams Center, a Grandson, Daniel McDaid, lives in Buffalo, and Granddaughter, Andrea (Griffith) Renwick and husband, Michael, reside in West Leyden with Great- Granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Paige.

Barrie “BJ” and Clemeth “Clem” Hughes, Watertown, will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary on June 24.

They were married June 24, 1961 at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, Ottawa, Ontario.

BJ retired after over 35 years in newspaper distribution, and for 20 years has had a piano circuit among retirement and nursing homes in New York and Ontario.

Clem retired after 31 years as a high school secretary in Ottawa and Watertown, and was a member of women’s barbershop choruses in Watertown and Florida.

The couple has two sons Randy (Carol), Watertown, and Rich (Marnie), Croghan, and four grandchildren. A daughter, Lyndall, is deceased.

Mr. Conway, son of the late Marie and Edward Conway, was married to Eileen McCanney, daughter of the late Bernice and Stanley Percoskie Jr. on May 24, 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Constableville.

Honor attendants were the late Donald McCanney, uncle of the bride and Mary Conway Mathis, sister of the groom.
Mr. & Mrs. Conway are graduates of Constableville Central School, Constableville.

John served with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. They owned and operated a dairy farm on the East Road in Turin from 1960 until retirement.

The couple have three children: Randy (Sue) Conway, Turin; Jackie Kenealy, Lowville and Joanne (Dwayne) Salmon, Turin. The couple also have two granddaughters; Rachel Salmon & Sarah Kenealy, six grandsons; Doug (Brittany) Salmon, Ryan (Tracy) Salmon, Patrick (Karleen) Salmon, Nick Kenealy, Derek Conway & Jacob Conway as well as 10 great-grandchildren; Landyn & Cadyn Salmon; Carter, Brooke & Tyler Salmon, Gabrielle, Emma & Harper Salmon and Julia & Khloe Shue.

Presently she works as a warehouse distribution supervisor at Timeless Frames in Watertown. Amanda is an excited and proud expectant mother of her daughter, Raegan Elizabeth Beebe.

Johnathan is the son of Robin Simpson and Russel Simpson. He is a 1997 graduate of Indian River High School. Johnathan is medically retired from the Army where he guarded Presidents Bush and Clinton, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and conducted 9/11 Pentagon rescue and recovery efforts. As a Master Mason in the Third Degree, he is currently active in Watertown's own Masonic Lodge, Solomon Wallace Lodge #125. Johnathan is a proud father of his sons Soryn Stanley Michael Beebe, Wesley Ellsworth Beebe, and is awaiting the birth of his daughter, Raegan Elizabeth Beebe.

Mr. and Mrs. Beebe currently reside in Watertown in their new home.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene W. Camidge of Carthage will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on May 28, 2016.

Mr. Camidge, son of the late Nelson and Eloise Camidge, married Arlene J. Zehr, daughter of the late Reuben and Melvina Zehr, on May 28, 1966 at Calvary Assembly of God Church, West Carthage, with the Rev. Bruno A. Glodkowski officiating.

Honor attendants were Connie Pierce, friend of the bride, and Emerson Camidge, brother of the groom.

Mrs. Camidge is a 1965 graduate of Carthage Central School and obtained her certificate for nurses aide at Lewis BOCES and worked several years at Carthage Area Hospital, then several
years in food service for Carthage Central School District.

Mr. Camidge attended Carthage High School, served in the U.S. Army and retired in 2001 from Carthage Paper Makers with 36 years of service.

They have three children, Duane, Fla.; Laurie and Michael, both of Carthage; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Their most enjoyable time is that spent with family.

Heather is the daughter of Craig and Robin Bridges of Simpsonville, SC. Heather graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and then continued on to Greenville Technical College to pursue a certificate in Occupational Therapy. She now works at a short term rehab facility in Spartanburg, SC as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Ryan is the son of Chris Cole of Carthage. Ryan attended school at Greenville technical college and now works at Honeywell Aerospace in Greer, SC as an engineering lab technician. He was born in upstate NY but moved to Greer, SC at an early age. Ryan continues to visit frequently to see family and fish for steelhead when in season.

Ryan and Heather will live in Lyman, SC with their cat, Harley. They enjoy warm southern nights spent outdoors playing lawn games and relaxing. An outdoor wedding with family and friends is planned in Woodruff, SC on June 4, 2016.

Anderson Levi Greaud

Rebecca (Roggie) and Stacy Greaud, Castorland, announce the birth of their son, Anderson Levi Greaud.

Anderson was born Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 7:52 p.m. at Lewis County General Hospital.

Anderson weighed 7 lb. 8 oz. and measured 20 inches long.

Anderson was welcomed by his siblings Jaxon, Claire and Alexander. Anderson’s maternal grandparents are Lonny and Debbie Roggie, Castorland. His paternal grandparents are the late Anita Greaud, Robert Greaud and step-grandmother Margaret Greaud, Port Allen, LA.

Julia Rose Bellinger

Tom and Elaine Bellinger, Heuvelton, announce the birth of a daughter, Julia Rose Bellinger.

She was born on May 18, 2016 at 3:04 p.m. at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, delivered by Dr. Dicolby>

Julia joins her almost 3-year-old old brother Jackson.

Maternal grandparents are Keith and Carol Britton and Louie DeMatteo and paternal grandparent Peter Bellinger.

Devin Mackenzie Ryan

Sean and Marisa Ryan announce the birth of their daughter, Devin Mackenzie Ryan.

Devin was born on February 13, 2016 at 8:47 p.m. at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. She weighed in at 7 lbs., 12 oz. and was 21 inches long.

Maternal Grandparents are Edson and Lorice Setzer of Pulaski and Paternal Grandparents are Timothy and Marthe Ryan of Dexter.

Devin's arrival was ecstatically welcomed by friends and family.

Rebecca Joy Windover & Rose Angela Urban

Together with their families, Rebecca Joy Windover and Rose Angela Urban announce their engagement.

Rebecca is the daughter of John and Lori Windover of Lowville. She graduated from Lowville Academy Central School in 2009 and Alfred University in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. She earned a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University in 2015. Rebecca currently works as a Program Manager at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Rose is the daughter of Louise Urban of Burton, Ohio and the late Mark Urban. Rose graduated from Solon High School (Ohio) in 2004. She enlisted in the Marines serving in squadron HMX1. She received a Bachelor's degree from Kent State University in 2011 with a degree in Justice Studies. She now works as a HR Specialist in Personnel Security for the Department of Veteran Affairs in Cleveland, Ohio.

The couple resides in Willowick, Ohio with their dog, Dior and cat, Baby. The couple became engaged in May 2015 while on a cruise. A June 11, 2016 wedding is planned at Tug Hill Vineyards in Lowville.

Alicia Dewey & Jake Tibbles

Together with their families, Alicia Dewey and Jake Tibbles announce their engagement.

After seven years of unwed bliss, Jake and Alicia have finally decided to make it official.

Alicia is the daughter of David Dewey of LaFargeville. She attended LaFargeville Central and is a graduate of Jefferson Community College and St. Lawrence University. She is currently employed by the Town of Clayton and is the owner of Green Meadow Consulting.

Jake is the son of Michael and Irene Tibbles of Redwood. He attended Alexandria Central School and is a graduate of SUNY Cortland. He is currently the Executive Director of the Thousand Islands Land Trust.

The couple currently resides in LaFargeville with their daughter, Harper Rilee, and the family spends most of their time with their fur-children: Emma, Jax, Baxter and Auggie, six chickens and three ducks. An outdoor wedding with family and friends is planned in Clayton on September 17, 2016.
