Frankie’s maternal grandparents are Joan Carnahan of Nashville, TN and Joe Carnahan of Dallas, TX. His paternal grandparents are Tina Turnbow of Daytona Beach , FL and the late Francis P. Donnelly Jr.

Frankie was welcomed by his big sister Morgan Spurr-Donnelly and cousins Courtney, Chelsey, Jase, Jathan, Jocelyn, Dallas, Dakotah, Callista, Alexia, Mikal, Donovan, Deven, Alexis and one on the way.

He received his MST in Science Education from SUNY Potsdam. He is currently a high school science teacher at Copenhagen Central School as well as an adjunct chemistry professor at Jefferson Community College.

They are to be married this summer in Lowville.

Adrian & Kerrie Hosley - 25 Years

 

Adrian and Kerrie Hosley, Rodman, observed their 25th wedding anniversary on May 6.

They will celebrate their anniversary with an Alaskan cruise in June. The couple will be accompanied on the cruise by Kerrie’s sister and brother in law, Lisa and Scott Worden, who will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.

Adrian Hosley is the son of Donna Hosley and Donald Hosley of Adams and Kerrie Cole Hosley is the daughter of Susan Cole, Rodman and the late Gordon Cole. The couple was married May 6, 1988 in Rodman with Chaplain Richard Travis officiating. Honor attendants were Julie Gilbert Hogancamp as Maid of Honor and James Hogancamp as Best Man. Russ Snyder, Tom Towles, and Rick Gaskin served as ushers.

Mr. Hosley graduated from South Jefferson Central School in 1985. He served in the US Air Force from 1987 to 1989. He is currently a Sergeant with the NYS Department of Corrections at Cape Vincent.

Mrs. Hosley also a 1985 graduate of South Jefferson Central School has been employed by the South Jefferson Central School for the past 21 years as the Senior Account Clerk.

The couple has three children, Logan, Ben, and Monica all of Rodman. The couple enjoys their camp in Montague, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and spending time with their family.

Cortney also graduated from LaFargeville Central in 2006. She will be graduating from Albany College of Pharmacy on May 18, 2013. Cortney is currently employed at Bolton’s Pharmacy in Watertown as a graduate intern. She is studying for her State Board Examinations to become a licensed pharmacist.

Jeffrey and Cortney have been together since their senior year of high-school. A summer 2014 wedding is planned.

The bride is the daughter of Bernard and Mary Jones, Copenhagen, New York. The groom is the son of Elliot and Sigrun Wagner, North Largo, Florida.

The bride was accompanied by her son, Caleb Brockway. The groom was accompanied by his daughter, Daysia Wagner.

Mrs. Wagner graduated from Copenhagen Central School and received an associate’s degree from Jefferson Community College, Watertown. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from SUNY Potsdam and is a teacher in the Watertown City School District.

Mr. Wagner graduated from Saratoga Springs High School, Saratoga Springs, NY; he served in the United States Army for ten years. He is currently employed by the University of Vermont at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg, as a biomedical engineering technician. The couple took a week long honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas. They currently reside in Watertown.

Following graduation Megan went to SUNY Canton where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Megan is continuing her education via SUNY Canton’s online class options and will graduate in May 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Investigation and a minor in Homeland Security.

John is the son of Larry Olmstead and Jennifer Olmstead. He also graduated from Lowville Academy in 2009 and then went to SUNY Potsdam for a semester where he played Lacrosse for the Bears. He then transferred to SUNY Canton to take advantage of their Criminal Justice program, and in 2011 he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He is now employed at Schwan’s as a food delivery driver.

Megan and John have known each other since middle school at LACS and have been together for over nine years. On April 29th, 2012, the couple welcomed a son, Nolan Lucas Olmstead and when they brought him home, John decided it was finally the perfect time to complete their family by proposing.
A rustic outdoor celebration is planned for June 29, 2013 in Montague.

Mr. & Mrs. William Nier - 50 Years

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Nier of Carthage celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 17, 2013.

A celebration was given on April 20, 2013 by their children, William Jr., Cindy Doney, and Ami Richardson at the Champion Fire Hall.

Mr. Nier, son of the late Clifford E. Nier and Marion Moody of Carthage and Nancy J. Loomis, daughter of Joyce E. Loomis of Carthage and the late George M. Loomis, were married on February 17, 1963, at the First United Methodist Church of Carthage by the late Reverend Robert Belbin. Their attendants were Betty Loomis Swem and the late Richard Finsterwalter.

Mr. Nier was employed by Agway for 25 years and owned and operated Bill's Feed Service in Great Bend until retiring in 2000. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carthage, Ducks Unlimited, past Masonic member, and past member of Champion Fire Department. Mr. Nier continues to work closely with the Amish communities for Bill's Feed Service. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, and boating.

Mrs. Nier was co-owner of Bill's Feed Service until her retirement in 2000. Mrs. Nier also worked for Carthage Central School District, is a member of First United Methodist Church of Carthage, United Methodist Women, and a past member of Eastern Star Chapter of Carthage, as well as the Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Nier enjoys crafts, boating, gardening, and traveling abroad with Mr. Nier.

The couple have three children, William Nier Jr and Elizabeth of Carthage, Cindy Doney and James of Marshall, NC, and Ami Richardson and Dan of Carthage. Grandchildren Matthew J. and Denise Doney of Schenectady, Andrew J. and Angelina Doney of Marshall, NC, Kaela and Evan Hensley of Fort Meade, MD, Ellyse Richardson, Deferiet, and one great-granddaughter Aria E. Doney and a second great-granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Hensley, due on May 18, 2013.

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Kimmick Jr. of Carthage celebrated 25 years of marriage on April 16, 2013. Stephen and Lorene were married April 16, 1988 at St. Peter’s Church, Lowville.

Stephen is a native of Ligonier, PA and graduated from Ligonier Valley High School in 1982. He is a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University. He is currently an Information Technology Specialist at Fort Drum.

Lorene is from Lowville and is a 1985 graduate of Lowville Academy. She is a Medical Records Technician at Fort Drum.

They have two children, Mrs. Jonathon (Elizabeth) Rhone of Carthage. She is an RN in the Maternity Department of Carthage Area Hospital, and Christopher Kimmick, attending Jefferson Community College for Sports Management.
They are celebrating with a family cruise to Hawaii later this year.

Justin and Shawnna (Simmons) Creedon celebrated their 13th anniversary on March 15, 2013.

Justin serves in the US Army for 17 yrs as an Infantryman and is currently stationed at Fort Drum. He has been to Korea and Afghanistan (2x).

Shawnna is a stay at home mom to the their three children, Daniel (12), Rosemary (8) and Dyllan (4) and their furbaby, Mocca.

The couple currently resides in LaFargeville. They plan to celebrate their wedding on August 31, 2013. There will be a private ceremony for close family and friends at the Adams Country Club. A reception in Brantingham will be held after the ceremony.

The wedding is planned for August 2013 in Carthage.

Jenna J. Spry and Derek K. Ritz were married on the beautiful fall day of October 27, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Watertown, reception following at the Best Western Carriage House Inn. Father Donald Robinson officiated the ceremony.

Jenna is the daughter of Jack and Amy Spry, of Rodman. Derek is the son of Keith and Tina Ritz, also of Rodman.

Maid of Honor was friend of the bride, Ceaira Anaya (Adams Center). Bridesmaids were Kristin Post friend of the bride and groom (Adams Center), Sara Hazelton friend of the bride (Mannsville), Daryan Wheeler cousin of the bride (Belleville), and Taylar Mayne cousin of the bride (Lacona). Flower girl was Hollie Ritz niece of the groom.

Long time friend of the groom, Kory Pearson (Worth) served as the best man. Groomsmen were Richard Ritz brother of the groom (Wexford PA), Andrew Ritz brother of the groom (Lorraine), Jordan Ritz brother of the groom (Whitesville), and Tyler Spry brother of the bride (Rodman). Ring bearer was Tyson Ritz nephew of the groom.

Jenna is a 2009 graduate of South Jefferson Central High School. She is currently working on her A.A.S. Business Administration degree at Jefferson Community College. Jenna works full time as a Pharmacy Technician at Guthrie Clinic Pharmacy on Fort Drum. Derek is a 2008 graduate of South Jefferson Central High School. He works as a full time employee for Hi-Lite Markings based out of Adams Center. The couple enjoyed a short honeymoon in Niagara Falls. Jenna and Derek reside in Rodman with their two dogs Jewels and Cheyanne.

Alissa Louise Welbourn & Justin Paul Waite

John and Grace Gardner of Adams announce the engagement of their daughter, Alissa Louise Welbourn, to Justin Paul Waite, son of Barry and Ellen Waite of Henderson. The engagement took place at the Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Skaneateles.

The couple are both graduates of South Jefferson Central School. Justin earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration at Jefferson Community College. He is part of the 4th generation to run the family owned and operated Waite Toyota dealership where he serves as Used and Wholesale Manager. He is an active part of the Adams United Methodist Church Choir and plays percussion in the Clayton Community Band.

Alissa continued her education earning an Associate of Science Degree in Human Services at Jefferson Community College. She went on there to earn her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing and works as a Registered Nurse in the Maternity Department of Samaritan Medical Center.

The couple are planning a September 13, 2013 destination wedding on the Island of Turks & Caicos, with immediate family present. A friend and family reception will be held back home upon the couple’s return.

Robert and Jill Schafer of Dexter announce the birth of their son, Carson James Schafer.

Carson was born on February 16, 2013 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown at 4:32 p.m. He weighed 9 pounds and was 20.5 inches long.

Maternal grandmother is Diane Ross of Calcium. Paternal grandparents are James Schafer of Rome and Jeff and Lauri Getbehead, also of Rome.

Royce and Brenda Fitzgerald of Port Leyden, celebrated their 40th
wedding Anniversary on Sunday, April 7, 2013.


Royce and Brenda have three children and three grandchildren. A son, Royce, his wife Sharon and son, Royce IV of Uxbridge, Massachusetts and daughter Denielle, her husband BJ, and children Grace and Samuel of Lyons Falls and daughter, Ryan of Glenfield.

Jennifer Earl and Michael Schultheis II, of Carthage, announce the birth of their daughter, Brylie Anne Schultheis.

Brylie was born on January 29, 2013 at 8:15am at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. She weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 20 inches long.
 
Brylie’s maternal grandparents are Pattie and Tim Earl of Oneida. Brylie’s paternal grandparents are Melissa Tarnacki of Dinwiddie, VA and Mike Tarnacki of North Bay.

Brylie was welcomed home by her big brother, Bentley.

She weighed 6 lbs. 15 ounces and was 20 inches long. Eleanor will be welcomed home by big sister, Maddie, and big brothers, Maddox and Paxton.

Maternal grandparents are David and Michelle Roberts of Adams and Mitch and Lisa Gibbs or Lacona.

Ashley M. Kenealy & Travis M. Sleeman

 

Ashley M. Kenealy and Travis M. Sleeman were married on October 13, 2012 , in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Tug Hill Vineyards with reception following. Karen Peebles officiated.

Ashley is the daughter of Vanessa and Shawn Brady, of Adams and Patrick and Lynne Kenealy, of Lacona. Travis is the son of Kim and Kathy Sleeman, of Adams Center.

Best friends of the bride, Becky Stoughtenger (Palmyra) and Emily Worden (Adams) were the Maid and Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Bri Sleeman sister of the groom (Adams Center), Shannon Traver friend of the bride and groom (Adams), Katie Denny friend of the bride (Adams), and Raechel Kenealy cousin of the bride (Lowville). Flower girl was Lauralee Clement, cousin of the bride.

Cousin and best friend of the groom Levi Worden (Adams) was the Best Man. Groomsmen were Tyler Kenealy brother of the bride (Lacona), Tim Kenealy brother of the bride (Adams), Chris Traver friend of the bride and groom (Adams), Tony Gervera cousin of the groom (Watertown), and Logan Hosley cousin of the groom (Rodman). Ring bearer was Cayden Worden, cousin and god son of the groom.

Ashley is a 2004 graduate of South Jefferson Central High School. She obtained her Associate's degree in Math and Science from Jefferson Community College in 2007 and her Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2009. She is a Respiratory Therapist at Carthage Area Hospital. Travis is a 2002 graduate of South Jefferson Central High School. He obtained his Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Jefferson Community College in 2004. He graduated from the New York State Park Police Academy in 2006. He is a New York State Park Police Officer in the Thousand Islands region. The couple enjoyed a week long honeymoon at the all-inclusive Sandals Grande St. Lucian resort in Gros Islet, St. Lucia. They reside in Rodman with their two dogs Kallie and Sarge.

The Watertown High Class of 1978 will be celebrating their 35th class reunion this summer. This event will be held at The Savory (the former Carriage House) on Washington Street in Watertown on Saturday, July 13, 2013.
