Couple facing charges after domestic incident near LaFargeville

LAFARGEVILLE, NYEric D. French, 32, of 17949 County Route 181, LaFargeville, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 8:01 a.m. Monday, July 30, at his residence with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Mr. French is accused of choking Kelsey J. Marnell, 24, and damaging her cell phone at about 7:56 a.m. Monday at his residence, deputies said. He also allegedly hit her face causing a fat lip and bleeding, according to court documents.

Ms. Marnell of 115-D Joseph Lonsway Dr., Clayton, was charged with second-degree harassment and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief.

She is accused of kicking a hole in the living room drywall and throwing Mr. French’s cell phone into a toilet during the same domestic incident, deputies said. Mr. Marnell is additionally accused of hitting Mr. French’s nose causing it to bleed, according to court documents.

Both await prosecution in Clayton Town Court.
