WATERTOWN, NY — Dale J. Oatman Sr., 53, Watertown, passed away Sunday, July 15, at Samaritan Medical Center.
Born Dec. 4, 1964, in Watertown, a son of Richard Sr. and Edna (Tharrett) Oatman, he was educated locally, and worked as a carpenter for Warner’s Construction, Watertown.
Dale enjoyed flying with his best friend, Jim Warner, joking around with his favorite “cousin”, Bonnie Eacho, and spending time with family & friends.
He is survived by his children: Dale Oatman, Jr. of New York, Paul Oatman of Pennsylvania; his siblings: Ken Oatman of Watertown, Christopher Oatman, So. Carolina; Sherry Oatman-Boenning and her wife Linda Brockway of Watertown; his companion: Debbie Hamblin of Watertown; and a cousin whom he called his sister, Bonnie Eacho. Also surviving are his cats: Molly & Sadie.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Oatman, Jr.
There is no funeral service. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.
