Francis D. “Frank” Blair, 79, of Glen Park

GLEN PARK, NY — Francis D. “Frank” Blair, 79, of Glen Park passed away Monday evening, July 30, 2018, at Samaritan Keep Home where he  resided for a year.

Calling hours will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Friday, August 3, from 5 – 7PM. His graveside service, with military honors, will be Saturday, August 4, at 11AM at North Watertown Cemetery.

Francis was born in Watertown on July 7, 1939, son of Delbert and Helen (Lyon) Blair and he was a 1958 graduate of Watertown High School. He entered the US Marine Corps on August 1, 1958 and was honorably discharged on August 1, 1962.

Frank married Joyce A. Bok on February 27, 1965 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Peter Francour officiating.

For over 28 years he worked in the foundry at NY Airbrake, then for 14 years at Wal-Mart before completely retiring. He enjoyed woodworking and especially driving around with his wife.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce A.; three children, Joyce E. Alberry and husband, Sam, Watertown, Andrea M. Cronce, Gouverneur, and Christopher F. Blair and wife, Jennifer, Brownville; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two siblings, George Blair and wife, Sheila, Oneida and Edie Griffin, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. His sister, Helen LaFountain, died before him.
