WATERTOWN, NY — Janet R. Collette, 85, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient since Oct. 18. She had been a resident of the Samaritan Keep Home since June of 2017.
There will be no funeral or calling hours. Private remembrances, as she requested.
Arrangements are with the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.
Born July 25, 1933, in Watertown, a daughter to Garrett and Mildred Rose, she attended Watertown schools.
Janet worked at the Hotel Woodruff for six years. She went to work at Faichneys which later became Chesbrough Ponds, retiring after 30 years.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Bob Slater; grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Janet was predeceased by a daughter Terri Zgardzinski, two sisters, Barbara Rose and Betty Rossiter, and a grandson Chuck Dening.
Janet enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
