Jean M. Morgia, 81, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Jean M. Morgia, 81, of Cedar Street, Watertown, died Saturday, March 10, at Samaritan Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home.

Born Oct. 31, 1937, in Watertown, a daughter of the late Donald Hall and Mary Jerome, she graduated from Watertown schools.

She married Edigio Morgia on Sept. 3, 1960. Mr. Morgia passed away in 1995.

She was a cook for many restaurants in Watertown throughout her life including Giovanni’s, State Street Restaurant and Pete’s.

She loved to bake with her family especially Italian cookies and she was an avid bowler.

She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church, Watertown.

She is survived by her five children, Dominic J. Morgia, Deborah J (Gary) McLean, Maryjane (Peter) Mathewson, David J. (Lynn) Morgia and Patrick E. (Jody) Morgia, all of Watertown; a Brother Donald Hall, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by a lifetime friend Joan Zygaj, Wood Dale IL.

She was predeceased by her husband, Egidio Morgia, a brother, David Hall, and a sister, Janet Switzer.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Cleveland Funeral Home, 404 Sherman St., Watertown. Calling hours will be 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Cleveland Funeral Home, Watertown.
