Joyce M. Terrillion, 85, Lowville

LOWVILLE, NY – Joyce Margaret Terrillion, 85, of Lowville, died Monday evening, Oct. 15, 2018. at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility. She was formerly of Jackson Street.

Born Sept. 13, 1933, in Lowville, the daughter of the late Charles Delos and Marie Elizabeth (Cannan) Petrie, she was a graduate of Lowville Free Academy.

Joyce married Wilson A. Terrillion on Dec. 27, 1952, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Msgr. John Cotter, officiating. Wilson died July 30, 2015.

Joyce was a deputy for St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department where she retired after 23 years of service. She loved playing cards and going to the Turning Stone Casino, knitting, crocheting, and spending time in Florida with her Massena friends.

She is survived by her children and spouses, Charles C. (Marsha) Terrillion; and Cathy J. (Timothy) Buckingham all of Lowville; her granddaughter, Cortney E.V. Terrillion of Greenwich, CT; her sister, Connie Nortz of Cape Coral, FL; her brother, Charles L. (Shirley) Petrie of Nedrow; sisters-in-law, Claire Petrie and Rene Petrie.

Joyce was predeceased by her grandson, Charles C. Terrillion, II, her brothers, Robert Petrie and Thomas Petrie, and her sister, Loyola “Kate” Plummer.

She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church where her funeral Mass will be said 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, with Rev. Jay Seymour, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Lowville Rural Cemetery.
