Kay Bertrand Misch, 80, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Kay Bertrand Misch, 80, of Boyd Street, Watertown, passed away at her home Monday, June 25, 2018. As per her wishes, there will be no service or calling hours.

Arrangements are entrusted with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.

Born Dec. 13, 1937, in Clayton, the daughter of Alvah and Marguerite McMullin Bertrand, she was a graduate of Clayton High School and attended Russell Sage Women’s College.

She married Claude R. Misch, Jr. on Oct. 23, 1958, in Armadillo, TX. Mr. Misch, owner of Claude’s Transmission, Watertown passed on Jan. 24, 2002.

Kay was the office manager for Claude’s Transmission in Watertown, a member of the local business community for many years.

She had attended Asbury United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as a former treasurer of the local Independent Garage Owners Association.

Kay enjoyed antiquing, reading, gardening, spending time at the family cottage and traveling (especially to New Orleans and Maine).

Nothing was more important to Kay than spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Richard D. (Kim) Misch, Watertown, Rodney A. Misch, Glen Park, and Lisa M. (Keith) Ronan, St. Cloud, FL; three grandchildren; a niece, and a nephew.

A brother and his wife, Wayne (Marcia) Bertrand, died before her.
