Lewis County deputies charge man with burglary, criminal mischief

LYONSDALE, NY — Toby R. Post, 42, homeless, was charged by Lewis County sheriff’s deputies on May 3 with second-degree burglary, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Deputies received a complaint on May 1 alleging Mr. Post illegally entered a relative’s residence on River Road and damaged two items inside. Post fled the scene prior to the arrival of a deputy but was located on May 3 when he again returned to the residence and caused another disturbance, according to a new release.

He was arraigned in Lyonsdale Town Court and remanded to the Lewis County Jail in lieu of cash bail.
