Man accused of violating order of protection, police say

WATERTOWN, NYTyler J. Kitchens, 33, homeless, was charged by Watertown police at 10:58 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at 201 Paddock St. with second-degree criminal contempt.

Mr. Kitchens is accused of violating the terms of a stay-away order of protection by calling and text messaging the protected party, Danielle M. Brown, 33, Watertown, at about 4:29 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, according to court documents.

He was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Tuesday morning in City Court.
