Man with 0.31% BAC charged with felony aggravated DWI, Watertown police say

WATERTOWN, NYEric Jon Lapradd, 59, of 4427 Colonial Manor Rd., Apt. H3, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 6:41 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at 610 State St. with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Police said his blood alcohol content was 0.31 percent. A BAC of 0.08 percent more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

He was arrested after operating a 2016 Ford F-150 in an intoxicated state while involved in a property damage accident at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Sunoco, 610 State St., according to court documents.

The charge is a felony due to a previous DWI conviction on Jan. 14, 2010, in Onondaga County, police said.

Mr. is summoned to appear Sept. 13 in City Court.
