Michael C. Garbutt, 75, Adams Center

ADAMS CENTER, NY — Michael C. Garbutt, 75, Adams Center, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 24, in the emergency room at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours with burial at the convenience of the family.

Michael was born Jan. 25, 1943, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Kenneth C. and Dorris R. Lancor Garbutt. The family moved to Watertown where he graduated from Watertown High School, and he entered the United States Navy serving from 1962 until 1967.

Upon his honorable discharge, he applied for apprenticeship with the I.B.E.W., working with the Local-910 from 1970 until his retirement in 1995 as a journeymen electrician.

He married Patricia A. Patenaude on March 28, 1970, in the Town of Watertown.

He was a member of the Watertown American Legion Post-61,and a member of the N.Y.S. Bluebird Society. Mike greatly enjoyed ball room dancing with his wife and also enjoyed target shooting, fishing and reading.

Along with his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer L. Winahradsky and her husband Kevin M. of North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
