Department of Health Levies
Fines for Violations

  WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  The state Department of Health listed the following food service violations and fines for January in documents obtained by Newzjunky.com.

   The Central, 6032 Main St., Martinsburg, paid a total of $150 in fines, including a $100 fine for being open on Dec. 26, 2007, for the preparation and service of alcoholic beverages without a valid permit to operate a food service establishment, and a $50 fine for the floor in the men's room was not readily cleanable and the door to both bathrooms were not self-closing.

   Pine Tree Inn, 7796 Brantingham Rd., Greig, paid a $150 fine for not sending the Watertown district office a October and November water operation report by the 10th day of the month.

   Johnston's Mobile Home Park, 25922 Bush Rd., Calcium, paid a total of $500 in fines, including a $200 fine for not sending the Watertown district office a water operation report for the months of April, May, June, July and August by the 10th day of the month. The operator also paid a $100 fine for failing to sample the public water supply for bacteriological analysis during the second quarter of 2007 and/or report the results to DOH district office. A $100 fine was paid for a chlorine residual not detected in the water supply at the time of the inspection.
