Linda K. Platt, 65, of Maywood Terrace,
Watertown, died Wednesday at Upstate Medical Center in
Syracuse after being
stricken at her home.
Born Oct. 17, 1947, in
Gouverneur, the daughter of Arthur and Genevieve McCready
Lacey, she graduated in 1966 from Indian River High
School.
Mrs. Platt was a volunteer at the Salvation Army in
Watertown retiring due to ill health.
She enjoyed Quick Draw, online bingo, soap operas, pro wresting
and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Laurie Law, Jennifer Taylor
and her husband, Frank McAdams, all of Watertown, and Donna
Darling, Ind.; a sister, Victoria Lear, Watertown; a brother
and sister-in-law, Larry and Renauda Lacey, Theresa; 10
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother and father.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Reed
& Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Joyce Woodcock of First
United Methodist Church officiating. Calling hours will be
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral.
