Daniel E.
Doubleday, 71, of South Main Street, died Jan. 3, at his home
while under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson
County.
He was born Nov. 21, 1941, in New York City, the son of
Robert and Anna King.
He married Charlotte Booth on May 26, 2002.
Mr. Doubleday was employed with Fowler Construction for
twenty five years and retired from Beam Mack in Watertown as
a mechanic.
He enjoyed animals, working on vehicles and motors in his
garage, doing yard work.
Surviving besides his wife, Charlotte, are a daughter, Tammy
Carpenter, Syracuse; a step daughter and her companion, Tina
Watson and Robert Edington, Philadelphia, N.Y. ; a step son,
Tim Wioncek, Boston, Mass.; four grandchildren; four step
grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Sue
Tantalo, Fla.; a sister and her husband, Sue and Dan Tantalo,
Fla., and three brothers-in-law and their wives,
Larry and Sharon Booth and Phillip and Krista Booth, all of
Philadelphia and Peter and Cathy Booth, Antwerp.
The family will receive guests from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.
8, at the Robert Markwick American Legion Post #798,
Philadelphia. Burial will be at Childs Falls Sunrise
Cemetery, Philadelphia, at a later date.
