Alice D. Boulton

CLAYTON, N.Y.  —  Alice D. Boulton, 85, formerly of Depauville and Dingman Point Rd., Alexandria Bay, died Monday morning, Jan. 19, at United Helpers Nursing Home, Ogdensburg, where she had resided since Feb. 17, 2004.

A graveside service will be held at Clayton Cemetery at a time and date to be announced with Rev. D. L. Marshall officiating.

Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton.

Born Oct. 25, 1923, in the town of Orleans, the daughter of Harold and Violet Loveland Delaney, she graduated from Clayton High School.

She married Robert P. Boulton on Nov. 15, 1941, at her parents' home on Black Creek Rd. with Rev. James O. Bell officiating. Mr. Boulton, a stock room clerk for 35 years at NY Airbrake, died on June 12, 1997.

Mrs. Boulton worked for 31 years as a secretary for Graphic Controls, Clayton. 

She was a former member of the Depauville United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Valley View Rebecca Lodge, Depauville, holding many offices and positions. She had also hosted an AFS student from Germany.

Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia A. Capel, Tenn., Mary Lou Bourcy, Cape Vincent, and Karen M. and John Pangle, Salt Lake City, Utah; a son and his wife, Robert D. and Shirley D. Boulton, Depauville; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and her nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, George V., H. James, Glenn A. "Casey", and John "Gene" Delaney, and three sisters, V. Elizabeth Olin, Lucy Barrett, and Ruth M. "Sally" Slate.
