Howard
H. Wilson, 91, of Three Mile Bay, passed away
peacefully at home on Wednesday night.
Born Nov. 23, 1921, in Surrey, England, the son of Thomas A.
M. and Leah King Wilson, he came to the U.S. in 1926 and
graduated from Bloomfield, N.J., High School.
His education at Columbia University was interrupted by his
distinguished service in World War II’s European
Theater.
Following his marriage in June 1942, Howard graduated from
Columbia University.
He went on to a 32 year career at the NY Bell Telephone
Company, from which he retired in 1981. Howard cultivated
many friendships during his career and the group reunited
annually for 30 years to celebrate the “Wilson Open”.
Mr. Wilson will be remembered for his great love of family
and friends.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 70 years, Bette (Pierson)
Wilson, Three Mile Bay; four sons and their wives, Ronald K.
(Theresa), Oswego, Dr. George D. (Kimberly), Pittsburgh,
Pa., Peter K. (Claire), Highpoint, N.C., and John C.
(Diane), Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter and her husband,
Catherine (Joseph) Staskiewicz, Blairstown, N.J.; 14
grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2,
at Cape Vincent United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark
Pierce officiating. Private burial will be in the spring.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb, 1,
at Cleveland Funeral Home, Cape Vincent.

the Cape Vincent United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 593, Cape
