Michael
A. Kamide, 61, of 305 Church St., died unexpectedly Saturday
morning, Feb. 2, at his residence.
Michael was born in West Carthage on February 17, 1951, the
son of the late Abdoo M. and M. Jamal Abdoo Kamide. He was a
graduate of Augustinian Academy.
He worked at the former W.T. Grants Store in Carthage before
joining the Crown Zellerbach Corp. where he worked for over
twenty years as a lab technician. After the closure of the
mill, he was employed at TYCO in Watertown and Diemolding
Corp. in Canastota.
Michael was an avid football fan of the Washington Redskins.
He loved all animals and most especially his nephew's dog
"Jack".
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the BPOE
Lodge # 1762, Carthage.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Judy A. and
Ron Hill of West Carthage, a nephew and his wife, David M.
and Joann Hill of Carthage and a great niece, Tori Hill.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James
Catholic Church with the Rev. George F. Maroun, pastor,
officiating. Spring burial will be in Old St. James
Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the
Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home.
