Mervin
A. Mellen, 82, of Three Mile Bay, died Sunday, Feb.
3, at his home under the care of his family and friends.
He was born May 14, 1930, in Ellisburg, the son of, Albert
and Sylvia Mellen, he attended schools in Woodville and
Bellville.
He married Marjorie J. Thompson on June 21, 1956.
Mervin, Marjorie and son Cecil owned and operated Porky’s
Grocery and Diner and Silver Streak Water Delivery.
Mr. Mellen also worked road construction and at various
dairy farms throughout the north country from the age of 11.
Mervin enjoyed country music and camping in his recreational
vehicle.
He was also a member of the Three Mile Bay Fire Department
for over 45 years.
Surviving are a son, Cecil E. Mellen, Three Mile Bay; two
granddaughters, Aubrey and Kat; two sisters, Arlene Arglan,
Fulton, and Peggy (Doris) Mills, and a brother and his wife,
Clarence and Darlene Presley, Adams.
His wife Marjorie, two brothers, Harley and Richard,
a sister, Marion, and his special friend Rose Baker, all
died before him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Three mile
Bay Fire Hall.
The family will have a memorial service in the spring.
There will be no services at this time.

Chaumont.
