Sue R. Fulkerson, 62, of
Route 11, Adams, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 8, at her
home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice
of Jefferson County.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Carpenter-Stoodley
Funeral Home, Belleville, with Rev. Don Briant officiating.
Spring burial will be in the Ellisburg Cemetery. Visitation
will be held from 2 pm - 4 pm prior to the service at the
funeral home.
Sue graduated in the last graduating class at Mannsville
High School. She received her Associate's degree from
Jefferson Community College. She later received her bachelor's
degree from SUNY Oswego in 1992 and her master's degree in business
administration from SUNY Oswego in 1997.
She married Roy Fulkerson, Jr. March 14, 1970 in the Town of
Lorraine.
Mrs. Fulkerson owned and operated Business Help Accounting
& Tax Preparation in Adams until retiring in 2005. She
also assisted her husband Roy in the day to day operation of
Fulkerson's Auto Care, Route 11, Adams.
She was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants
(IMA) and the South Jefferson Rotary.
She enjoyed bird watching, flower gardening and growing
raspberries. Sue also enjoyed collecting and adding to her
Depression Glass collection.
She is survived by her husband Roy; a son, Randy and his
companion, Laura Knapp, Clayton; a daughter Angela Fulkerson,
Baldwinsville; four grandchildren Dylan, Kourtney, Amber and
Corey. Her brothers-in-law and their wives, William and
Charlotte Fulkerson, James and Mary Fulkerson, all of the town
of Ellisburg; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her in-laws, Roy Sr. and Hazel T.
Fulkerson, Robert Fulkerson and Marcia Fulkerson Scartelli,
Douglas and Pat Fulkerson and Shirley Spinner.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of
Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601.
