Agnes M. Wilson, 84, of
Clinton Street, widow of Carl F. Wilson, passed away
Thursday morning, Feb. 7, at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Syracuse.
Born May 11, 1928, in Adams, a daughter of the late George
and Pauline Miller Wilson, she graduated from Adams High
School, the Watertown School of Commerce and attended
Jefferson Community College.
She was employed for 15 years in the office of Dr. Walter
Atkinson.
She married Carl F. Wilson on April 7, 1951. In 1967, Agnes
joined her husband in the family-owned business, J.C. Wilson
& Son on the Bradley St. Rd. The business was well known
in the area for custom canvas manufacturing. Mr. Wilson died
Jan. 5, 1989.
Surviving are a son, James C., Las Vegas, Nevada; three
grandchildren, Kelly, Nicole and Mackensie; a step
grandchild, Megan; a brother, Robert P. Miller, Delmar; nieces
and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Adams.
Agnes was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church, the
Samaritan Medical Center Auxiliary, the Association for the
Blind and Visually Impaired, and Save The River.
The Wilson's owned and enjoyed their property on the St.
Lawrence River.
The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at
Trinity Episcopal Church with The Very Rev. Dr. Richard
Laribee officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial
Fund of Trinity Episcopal Church, 227 Sherman St., Watertown
or to the Music Fund at the church, or to Save the River,
Clayton, NY.
