WATERTOWN, N.Y. —
Louella Mae Kehoe, 100, Angels Inn, formerly of the Olympic Apartments, Adams, and Zephyrhills Hills,
Fla., died Sunday, March 30, at Samaritan Medical Center.
Born Feb. 19, 1908, in Sargent, Neb., a daughter of William Arthur and Etta May Stevens
Pierce, she graduated from Sargent Nebraska’s High School in 1926.
She married Charles E. Kehoe on May 15, 1928, at Saint Mary’s Church in Sargent, Nebraska with
Rev. Joseph Bogacryks, pastor, officiating. After their marriage they moved to the
town of Champion, then to Allendale. Mr. and Mrs. Kehoe owned and operated a farm in Lorraine from 1945 to 1951. In 1951, they moved to Adams. Mr. Kehoe worked as a millwright at Agway in Adams. Mr. Kehoe died April 23, 1995.
Mrs. Kehoe worked at Belloff’s Department Store, GLF Meat Locker, and Kinney Drugs, all in Adams, and at
Newberry’s Department Store in Watertown, retiring in 1971.
She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of Saint Cecilia’s Church, Adams and Saint Joseph’s Catholic Women’s Club, Zephyrhills,
Fla.
Surviving are a son and a his wife, Arthur and Mary "DeeDee",
Binghamton; two daughters and a son in-law, Mary and Anthony Izzo, Watertown, and Clairetta Kehoe,
Massena; six grandchildren; Rebecca Kehoe,Kelly Gourlay, Conor and Michael Kehoe, Alec Izzo and Lisa
Heilpern; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Esther Grace, at age seven, a brother, Franklin James Pierce, and two sisters, Edith
Roehling and Emily King, all died before her.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A
prayer service will be 9:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by a 10
a.m. funeral Mass at Saint Patrick’s Church with Rev. Arthur LaBaff officiating. Burial will be in Saint Cecilia’s Cemetery in the spring.
