LaSalle Sweet, 58, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her
loving family after her long battle with cancer.
Aug. 10, 1954, the daughter of Hilda Howes LaSalle
and Edward LaSalle, she attended Indian River schools,
graduating in 1973.
Sue worked at Dunkin Donuts in Watertown, where she met her
husband, Charles; at Northland Electric for 17 years; and
for 23 years at the Department of Social Services as a
social worker, retiring in 2013 because of her illness.
She married Charles Sweet on May 26, 1973, in Watertown.
Sue loved riding the Harley Davidson with her husband more
than anything. She also enjoyed watching Joyce Meyer and
spending time with her family, especially her
She was a Member of Stonecroft Ministry and the Nazarene
Church, Watertown, where she was active as a Sunday school
teacher, worked in the children's ministry, vacation bible
school and missionary work receiving the Dedicated Service
Award in 2010.
She is survived by the love of her life, Charles Sweet,
husband of 40 years; three daughters, Vickie (Ronald) John,
Land O Lakes, Fla., Tracey Sweet and her fiancé, Thomas
Horning, Watertown, and Charyl (Adam) Reff, Dexter; 14
grandchildren and four great grandchildren; her
mother-in-law, Laura Sweet, Watertown; sisters, Francis
(Tom) Green, Edinburgh, Texas, Hilda LaSalle, Whitefield,
N.H., Kay (James) Robarge, Auburndale, Fla., and Linda
(Donald) Amell, Watertown; a brother, Milton (Jeanetta)
LaSalle, Watertown; as well as her brothers-in-law,
sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews who loved her
was predeceased by her parents, Hilda and Edward LaSalle, as
well as a brother, Jerold Hamilton.
