WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Rosemary A. Thomas, 78, of Rand St., Rochester, and formerly of Burchard St., Watertown, died Wednesday at Unity Hospital, Parkridge Campus, Rochester.
Mrs. Thomas worked for General Motors, Rochester Products, for 13 years. She moved to Watertown in 1980
and worked for the Watertown Daily Times and Wal-Mart, retiring in 2000.
Born Oct. 26, 1929, in Theresa, a daughter of Milton and Eva Pierce
Rivers, she was educated in Watertown schools.
She married Earl E. Thomas in 1956. He died Oct. 17, 1995.
A previous marriage to Roy Fish ended in divorce.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis Fish, and Lamont Thomas, both of
Rochester; a daughter, Kathy Clark, Watertown; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren;
and nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Kenneth "Whitey" Rivers and Robert Rivers, and
three sisters, Mildred Williams, Elizabeth Middlestate and Jean Scott, all
died before her.
There are no calling hours or funeral service. The body was cremated.
Arrangements are with the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.
