BROWNVILLE, N.Y. — George
W. Wale, 66, of 235 W. Main St., died Tuesday, May 1, at the
Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic where he was a patient.
Born Jan. 7, 1946, the son of John and Cassette Wale, he was
educated locally.
In 1970, he married Leona Wilson at the Bethany Methodist
Church in Watertown.
He worked as a cook at
Mercy of Northern New York for 30 years.
He enjoyed baseball, golf, and will be remembered as a
loving husband, father, and brother-in-law.
Surviving besides his wife, Leona, are two daughters, Kelly
Wale, and her companion, Todd Merrifield, Brownville, and
Mindy Ross, Watertown; three sons, Eric (Sara) Wale,
Watertown, Alan "A.J." (Jamie) Wale, Cape Vincent,
Dwayne Meeks, Dexter; as well as 11 grandchildren.
A sister, Albe Booth, died before him.
The funeral service will be noon Friday, May 4, at Reed
& Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will follow in North
Watertown Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service
from 11 a.m. to noon.
