WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  Robert B. Wood, 64, a resident of Mercy of Northern New York for two years, died Wednesday morning at Samaritan Medical Center. 

Mr. Wood worked for the postal service for a few years and was a farm worker for most of his working life until retiring due to ill health. 

Born Dec. 4, 1944, in Watertown, son of Bruce and Mae Wood, he attended local schools.  

He married Christine Marie Prow on May 26, 1981. Two previous marriages ended in divorce. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Marjorie Jean Martin, Watertown, Christina Wood and her companion, Michael Smith, Watertown, Dorthea Rose LaSalle, Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Bruce, Watertown, and Robert, Redwood; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. 

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday, May 16, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Murray, pastor of Holy Family Church, officiating. Burial will be private following cremation.  Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Friday  at the funeral home.
