Mary Ann Martin, 84, of Broadway Ave. W.,
passed away Friday, May 17, at her home.
A funeral service will be held
noon Monday, May 20, at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc.,
Watertown, with Rev. Steven Murray, of Holy Family Church,
officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. There
will be no calling hours.
Born March 9, 1929, in Watertown, a daughter of Francis and
Helen Ryan Lyng. She graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy
and the Watertown School of Commerce.
She married Louis E. Martin on June 30, 1951, at St.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker, and had worked for the
Agricultural Insurance Co. as a secretary.
Mary Ann was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a past member
of its Altar & Rosary Society. She was a former member
of the Home Bureau.
She enjoyed reading, visiting with friends and spending time
The couple wintered in Myrtle Beach for many years.
Besides her husband, Louis, she is survived by two sons, Dr.
Thomas P. Martin, Coeur D'Alene,
Idaho, and John M. Martin, Saratoga Springs; two daughters,
Karen A. Keegan and husband, Gregory J., and Mary A.
VanBrocklin, all of Watertown; five grandchildren,
Christopher and Shawn VanBrocklin, Matthew Keegan, and
Alexandra and Jonathan Martin; a great granddaughter,
Jocelyn VanBrocklin; a sister-in-law, Keitha Marks and
husband, Howard; a brother-in-law, Frank Mihalik; and
several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St. or Sisters of St. Joseph,
1425 Washington St., both in Watertown, NY 13601.
