DENMARK, N.Y.
— Theodore
J. Talbot, 80, of 10331 Route 26, passed away peacefully on
Thursday, May 17, at his residence where he was under
the care of his family and Lewis County Hospice.
Born Jan. 7, 1932, in New Hartford, Conn., the son of the
late Aremdius J. and Anna Dastych Talbot, he was a graduate
of Gilbert High in Winsted, Conn., and later attended
college. He served in the Army from April 1953 to April 1955.
He married Joyce M. Holt on Sept. 26, 1953, at the New
Hartford Immaculate Church.
Mr. Talbot worked for John Hancock Life Insurance for 23
years and ten years at the Quality Shop in Torrington, Conn.
He was active in the community serving on several boards and
as a selectman for the city of Winsted for 10 years. He was
an ombudsman for five years in Lowville.
Surviving are his
wife Joyce M., Denmark; a daughter and her husband, Cynde
and Bill Judy of Denmark,
three sons: Theodore J. Talbot, Glen St. Mary, Fla., and
Gary and Glen Talbot, both of Northhampton, Mass.; seven grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Talbot, N.C.;
and nieces and nephews.
A brother, Richard Talbot, died previously.
A funeral mass
will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, at St. Joseph's
Catholic Church, Winsted, Conn. Burial will be in
Center Cemetery, Winsted, Conn.
