Andersen, 91, of Brookside Circle, died Wednesday morning,
May 22, at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility.
The funeral will be 10
a.m. Monday, May 27, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc.,
Lowville, with Rev. Herb Swanson, pastor of the First
Presbyterian Church, Lowville, officiating. Burial will be
in Martinsburg Cemetery. A calling hour will be 9 to 10 a.m.
Monday at the funeral home.
Born July 23, 1921, in Montague, a daughter of the late
Clarence and Ada Joy Carter, she graduated in 1939 from
She married John R. Andersen on Sept. 30, 1944, at Hendricks
Field Air Force Base, Sebring, FL. Rena and her family lived
in Los Angeles, CA until 1972, when they moved to Lowville.
Rena served as village clerk of Lowville from 1974 to 1986.
Rena and John moved to Brookside Senior Living Community in
2004. Mr. Andersen died Aug. 15, 2010.
Mrs. Andersen was a longtime member of the First
Presbyterian Church, Lowville, and enjoyed reading,
quilting, and sewing.
In her younger years, she was active playing the guitar, and
