— Ralph
A. Hansen, 83, of Strawberry Lane, died Monday, May 21, at
Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
A funeral will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at T.R.
Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton with Rev. Donald Briant
officiating. Calling hours will be 1 p.m. Saturday until the
time of the service.
Born Feb. 7, 1929, in Rochester, the son of Edward and Pearl
Oakley Hansen, he attended Rochester schools.
He served in the United States Army from May of 1952 until
he was honorably discharged in April of 1954.
As a tool and die maker, Mr. Hansen owned his own pattern
shop that was called East Pattern and Model Corporation,
retiring in 1983.
He was an active member of the Shriners and Jesters.
He had a summer cottage in Clayton on the St. Lawrence River
for over 50 years and loved fishing. After retiring he spent
many of his winters in Florida until becoming a full time
resident of Clayton in 2010.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Gloria Young,
Clayton; a daughter and her husband, Jill and Todd Foster,
Clayton; two grandchildren, Cory and Faith Foster, Clayton;
three nephews and two brothers, Arthur and Edward.
He was predeceased by a niece.
