— Julia D. Howley, 83, of Pine
Tree Lane, formerly of Route 126, died Monday morning, May
26, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and
Harvey Eaton, under the care of her children, grandchildren,
sister, and Lewis County Hospice.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Iseneker
Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville with Rev.
Bruce W. Chapman officiating. Burial will be in the
Riverside Cemetery Annex, Beaver Falls. There will be
no calling hours.

Beaver Falls Fire Department Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 456,
Beaver Falls, N.Y. 13305.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Jan H. and
Harvey Eaton, Beaver Falls, with whom she lived with; a son
and his wife, James D. and Lisa Howley, Beaver Falls; two
sisters, Lena D. Stephens, Beaver Falls; and Jane D. Eppie
of Denville, N.J.; five grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law and a
brother-in-law, Agnes and Roger Shepard, Mae Howley, Lea
Howley; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born July 11, 1924, in Beaver Falls, a daughter of the late
Peter and Rose Bellora D’Ambros, she graduated from Beaver
Falls High School in 1942.
On August 28, 1948, she married Lawrence A. “Barney”
Howley at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Glenfield, with Rev.
Desrosier officiating. Mr. Howley died November 24,
2005. Mrs. Howley worked at Beaverite Products, Inc.
in Glenfield prior to her marriage.
In 1952, she purchased and helped in the operation of Timber
Lodge, Glenfield, with her husband. She later worked
at Fredenburg’s Store and Beaverite Products, Inc., Beaver
Falls, retiring from Beaverite Products on Jan. 1, 1990.
Mrs. Howley enjoyed
knitting, refinishing furniture, and spending time with
family. She was an avid New York Yankees fan.
