Elizabeth "Joyce" Liscomb, 86, of Madison Ave., died
Friday, June 1, at her home while
under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson
County.
Born June 28, 1925, in
Antwerp, the daughter of J. Walter and M. Keithabelle Wood
Dickson, she graduated in 1942 from Antwerp High School.
She married Donald
R. Liscomb on Oct. 12, 1946, at her parent’s home on Hoyt
Avenue in Antwerp. Mr. Liscomb died Aug. 10, 2006.
Mrs. Liscomb was employed
at Pine Camp, now Fort Drum as a clerk, Borden’s Cheese
Company as a payroll clerk, Northern New York Trust Co. as a
clerk/ teller, Marine Midland Bank and Jefferson National
Bank as a teller, all in Antwerp.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of
Antwerp and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 916 in
Antwerp.
Mrs. Liscomb enjoyed bowling, reading, crossword puzzles and
jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, William,
Canton and Richard and Julie Liscomb, Fenton, MI; two
daughters and a son-in-law, Jill and Nick Boone, Elk Creek,
NE and Cindy McManaman, Antwerp, eight grandchildren;
sixteen great grandchildren; and two great great
grandchildren.
A brother, James A. Dickson, and a sister, Elsie J. Dickson,
both died before her.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, in
Hillside Cemetery, Antwerp, with a gathering of friends to
follow at the American Legion in Antwerp.
Arrangements
are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., Antwerp.
