“Alan” Harris Jr., 72, of 928 State St., passed away Saturday, June 9,
at Samaritan Medical Center from injuries suffered in a car accident.
After serving in the Army as a language specialist in Korea, Alan attended and graduated Gettysburg College.
He began his business career in Miami, Fla., working in the aluminum business for Russell Aluminum.
In 1991 he moved to Watertown and embarked on a new career as a financial advisor with The Legend Group.
He was a loving father who always had time for others.
He loved golf and served on the Watertown Board of Directors as secretary. In addition he represented the Watertown Golf Club as a director of the Senior Golf Association of NNY.
Mr. Harris was a member of the Watertown Planning Board and a volunteer of Literacy of Northern
He is survived by his children, Jessica and Eric, Seattle, Wa.; two brothers, Paul,
Lake Suzy, Fla., and Chris, Syracuse; and his wife, Dianne.
