ADAMS, N.Y. —
E. Trapiss, 55, of East Church Street, died Wednesday
evening at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at
Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, with Rev. Mary Drake, pastor of
the Mannsville and Lorraine Methodist Churches, officiating.
Burial will be private. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m.
Monday, June 18, at the funeral home.
Born Aug. 23, 1956, in Noranda, Quebec, Canada, daughter of
Victor and Marilyn Presley Sands, she graduated in 1974 from
Jefferson High School, Rochester.
She married Ronald Trapiss of Rochester in 1974. The couple
lived in Rochester before moving to Pierrepont Manor in
1986. The marriage later ended in divorce.
Mrs. Trapiss managed the Pierrepont Manor store and later as
a deli and bakery manager at Rods Big M in Adams and Sandy
She is survived by her long time companion, Michael Weston,
Adams; her mother, Marilyn Sands, Rochester; three sons,
Cory and Heather Trapiss, Macedon, James Trapiss, Adams
Center, and Michael Weston II, Adams; two daughters,
Christine Trapiss and companion, Josh Peter, Lacona, Amy
Phillips, Sandy Creek; five grandchildren; four brothers,
Douglas Sands, William Sands, James Sands and Richard Sands;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Victor Sands.
Gail enjoyed her Secret Pals Club, bowling and flower
