John J. Kenealy

LOWVILLE, N.Y. —  John J. Kenealy, 52, 6542-B Arthur Rd., died Sunday evening, June 15, at his home while under the care of his family and Lewis County Hospice.

Born April 18, 1956, in Lowville, the son of George and Beatrice Price Kenealy, he graduated from Lowville Academy and Central School in 1975. 

He married Jacqueline Conway on Feb. 7, 1981, in Houseville.

Mr. Kenealy was a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Martinsburg. He most recently worked for G.E. Hutchins Transport in Boonville. 

He enjoyed hunting and working with horses.

Besides his wife and mother both of Lowville, he is survived by a son, Nicholas, at home; a daughter and her husband, Sarah and Ronald Shue II, Port Leyden; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Joseph and Marcia, James and Melissa, all of Lowville, and Michael and Patrick, both of Adams; a sister and her husband, Mary and Theodore Yancey, Lowville; a grandchild, Julia Shue, Port Leyden; nieces, nephews and cousins

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the Adirondack Funeral Home, Main St., Croghan, with the Rev. Loren Widrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Martinsburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
