— Margaret Bossuot, 83,
formerly of 36743 Route 3, died Sunday, June 22, at her
son's home, 40142 County Route, under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born May 30, 1925, in Lowville, the daughter of Alexander and Vilham Gerhardt Holub in Lowville, New York. She graduated from Lowville Central School. She was a homemaker.
She married Robert Bossuot on May 17, 1947, at the First Baptist Church in Carthage.
He died in December 2001.
She was well known as "THE CAKE LADY" from Carthage to Watertown. She was awarded the Baker of the Year. She made cakes for over 40 years. She had received 97 ribbons from entering baking contests at the Jefferson County Fair. She was a member of the Co-Operative Extension, "Morning Glory Club."
Surviving are a son and his wife, Ross and Diane Bossuot, Carthage; a daughter
and her husband, Barbara and John Vars, Brownville; two
grandchildren, Dave Gibeau, and Natasha Grove; five
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Walt Holub, Calif., and Ollie Holub, New York City;
and a sister, Marlene Bush, Lowville, all died before her.
There will be no calling hours. The body will be cremated. The burial will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home, Inc., 500 State
St., Carthage.
