David S. Lacey

WEST CARTHAGE, N.Y.  —  
David S. Lacey, 49, of Champion Heights Apartments, formerly of Lowville, died Friday, June 27, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Center, Syracuse. 

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman, retired Methodist minister, officiating.  Burial will follow in the West Lowville Rural Cemetery. A gathering at the Lowville VFW Post #6912, West State Street, Lowville, will follow the burial. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 30, at the funeral home.

Born Nov. 14, 1958, in Lowville, a son of Orville F. and Elizabeth J. Rowsam Lacey, he graduated from Lowville Academy in 1978.  

He married Frances M. Main on April 7, 1979, at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Lowville, with Rev. Neil Shea, Pastor, officiating. The marriage ended in divorce.  

Mr. Lacey worked at P&C Foods, Lowville, during high school and worked there for more than 20 years before retiring due to illness. 

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching NASCAR and WWE Wrestling.

Surviving are a son and his fiancée, Jason Lacey and Amber Baker, West Carthage; a daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Chad Murphy, Lowville; his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Lacey of Lowville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judy and John Waligory, Lowville, Deborah and James Burnett, Cape Coral, Fla., and Tammy Lacey, Watertown; three grandchildren, Rosemarie and Hunter Murphy and Lilly Lacey; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

He was predeceased by his father, Orville F. Lacey, who died Jan. 16, 2006, a granddaughter, Ella Grace Murphy who died Nov. 25, 2007, and a brother, Gary Michael Lacey, who died at birth.
