Dean S. Russell

EVANS MILLS, N.Y.  —  Dean S. Russell, 83, of Martin Road North, died Saturday, July 14, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.

Born May 13, 1929, in Ogdensburg, the son of Stanley and Elizabeth McCalay Russell, he graduated in 1946 from Morristown Central High School.

He married Elizabeth E. Brough on March 18, 1950.

Mr. Russell was employed with Bushnell Hardware and Perretta Packing, both in Brier Hill, Pepsi Cola, Ogdensburg, Russ Wilson, Morristown, Evans Mills Agway for 23 years and the town of LeRay as a zone enforcement officer.

He was a member of the Brier Hill, Morristown and Evans Mills Fire Departments, Lions Club and Senior Citizens Housing, both in Evans Mills, and attended the Oswegatchie Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a son and his wife, Gary and Debbie, Phoenix; three daughters and a son-in-law, Chris Russell, Watertown, Nadine and Stan Kampnich, Carthage and Sandra Russell, Evans Mills; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, William Russell, Hammond.

A brother, James Russell died before him.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., Theresa, with Dustin Bailey, Young Life Area Director, officiating. Burial will be in Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium.

A calling hour will be 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral.
