WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Roy
W. Fleming, 70, of 458 Portage St., died Saturday morning at
his home under the care of his family and Hospice of
Jefferson County.
Mr. Fleming was a heavy
equipment operator for the City of Watertown Department of
Public Works, retiring in 1977 due to disability.
Born July 30, 1937, in Watertown, a son of Cecil and Blanche
Forsythe Fleming, he was educated in Watertown schools.
Mr. Fleming served with the US Navy.
He married Eleanor Robinson on Nov. 23, 1957, in Watertown.
Mr. Fleming enjoyed woodworking.
Beside his wife, he is survived
by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryl and Donald
Williams, Burkbernett, Texas, Darlene and Andrew Repp,
Watertown, Patricia Roshia, Watertown; two sons and
their wives, Roy and Kirsten, Michael and BobbiLea, all of
Watertown; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a
brother, Joseph, Adams; a sister, Sharon Beam, Greece; several
nieces and nephews. A
A grandson, Arthur Hodge III, died before him.
The funeral will be 10 a.m.
Tuesday at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev.
Arthur LaBaff, pastor of St. Patrick’s Church officiating.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
