WATERTOWN, N.Y. —
Delores J. Hosmer, 80, of 646 Flower St., died Tuesday in the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Carthage Area Hospital where she had been a patient for 18 months.
The funeral will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral
Home. Burial will be private. Calling hours are 2 to 4
and 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Born July 23, 1929, in Watertown, a daughter of Nathan and
Flossie May Augustus Perrin, she was educated in Watertown
schools.
She was employed at Chesebrough Ponds for many years,
retiring from there. Following her retirement, she continued
to work as a cook for the Little Chef Diner, the Converse
Diner and last worked at Sam’s Wholesale.
Delores bowled with her husband in co-ed leagues in the city
for many years.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years Charles N. Hosmer; a
son Wayne NiCastro, Ocean Side, Calif.; five grandchildren,
Tracie and Robert Ayers, Carthage, Randy and Beth Bigelow,
Verona, Tammy Potter, Watertown, Jade and Aaron NiCastro,
Calif., Rainee, Watertown; many great and great
great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Loren and
Bonnie Perrin, Watertown; three sisters, Irene Seery,
Charlene Burns and Joan Deline, all of Watertown; many
nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Barbara Stouty, and four sisters, Marion Ferguson, Flossie Trickey, Betty
Freeman and Emily LaRose, all died before her.
