WATERTOWN, N.Y. —
Evelyn L. Shullette Bass, 83, formerly of 626 Mundy St.,
died Friday Oct. 16, at Mercy Health of Northern New York.
She had been a resident scene March 3, 2008.
Born Oct. 23, 1925, in Theresa, a daughter of Ernest and
Louise Vogt Shullette, she graduated in 1943 from Dexter
High School.
She married Reginald C. Bass December 11, 1944 at Saint
Elizabeth’s Church in Dexter with the Reverend Edward J.
Pierce officiating. Mr. Bass died previously.
Mrs. Bass was a seamstress at Olga Knitting Mill Watertown,
Hartz Manufacturing and Hanna Sports Ware both of Dexter.
Mrs. Bass was a former communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred
Heart Church and an avid reader.
Surviving are a nephew and his wife, Jeffrey and Deborah
Shullette, Dexter; a niece and her husband, Blaire and Adam
Albanese, Delaware; two cousins, Jean and Richard Flick and
Shirley Best, both of Watertown; two great nieces and a
great great grand nephew.
A daughter, Lori Gail Bass, and a brother, Robert E.
Shullette, died before her.
A calling hour will be 10 a.m. Monday followed by an 11a.m.
funeral service at D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev.
Mark Rielly officiating. Burial will be in Dexter
