ADAMS CENTER, N.Y.  —  Robert W. Bush, Sr., 54, Second St, Adams Center died Monday afternoon at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. 

Born Sept. 15, 1955, in Watertown, the son of Robert C. and Barbara Swan Bush, he graduated in 1973 from Watertown High School. Mr. Bush served in the United States Marine Corps. from 1973 to 1977. He was civilian employee at Fort Drum in range control, retiring in 2001 due to ill health. 

Mr. Bush married Joan Dennee on Nov. 30, 1991. 

He was a member of the Watertown Eagles and American Legion Post 61. 

He was also active playing and coaching the Sunday Softball League for many years. 

Surviving besides his wife, Joan, are three sons, Robert, Jr. and his wife Candy, Graig and his companion Ashley Copestick, William and his companion Kylie Rowe, all of Watertown; a daughter and her husband, Holly and Michael Clairmont, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Kimberly and Rene Miranda, Tuscon, Ariz.; a niece, Karisa Miranda, Ariz.; and a nephew, Joshua Miranda, Calif. 

The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Holy Family Church. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
