Dorothy P. Warner

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  --  Dorothy P. Warner, 90, Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Strawberry Lane, Clayton, entered her eternal reward Friday morning, Oct. 20, at Harbourwood Nursing Home, Clearwater, Fla.

A Memorial Service will be held at a time and date to be announced at the New Life Christian Church, Depauville.   Burial in Depauville Cemetery will be at the family's convenience.

Born on January 1, 1916, in Chaumont, the daughter of Ezra and Grace Silver Thompson, she attended Depauville school and Clayton High School and received her G. E. D.   She took art courses throughout northern New York and in Florida.
  
On Feb.11, 1934, she married Harold W. Warner in Watertown.   Mr. Warner, a farmer in the Chaumont area and a salesman for Serge Barn Cleaners, died Sept. 19, 1982.
  
Mrs. Warner was a housewife.   Her husband and her were well-known, living on a farm between Chaumont and Three Mile Bay until 1968.   She also worked for 4 years at the North Country Craft Gallery, Watertown.
  
She and her husband were active church members and were instrumental in 1940 in the opening of what was then known as the historic Old Stone Church in Depauville, now the New Life Christian Church.   She was also a member of the Faith Assembly of God in Orlando, Fla.
  
She was a talented artisan, and her work received many local awards.   She was a sculptor and was a portrait oil painter.  She was a member of the Artist's Guild.
  
She was a former resident of Strawberry Lane in Clayton, and then lived in Orlando, Fla., for 19 years, until September of 1997.   She then moved to Ft. Myers, and then Clearwater, Fla.
  
Mrs. Warner is survived by her 4 daughters and their husbands, Hope J. & Stanley Andersen,
Clearwater, FL, Faith S. & Frank Emma, Chandler, AZ, Charity L. & Francis P. Ludlow, Clayton, and Bonnie K. & Ken Wilson, Kannapolis, NC;   8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren;   her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
  
Her 5 sisters, Nina Dodge, Matilda Love, Emma VanAlystine, Mae DeMass, and Nettie Warner, died before her.
