Carol M. Kelley

WATERTOWN, N.Y.  —  The funeral for Carol M. Kelley, 70, of Franklin Street, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Murray, pastor of Holy Family Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  

Mrs. Kelley died Saturday at the Highland Hospital in Rochester where she had been a patient since Oct. 8.

Born April 12, 1939, in Chaumont, a daughter of Thomas and Arloine Taylor Bourgouin, she graduated in 1957 from Immaculate Heart Academy as salutatorian.  

She worked at Car Freshener for eight years and was a nurse’s aide at Mercy of Northern New York for 17 years retiring in 2004.  

She was an avid reader.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Robert, Sr., Watertown; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Nancy, Weedsport, David and Christopher, both of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Taylor, Black River; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Victor and Loretta Bourgouin, Rochester, and James Richmire, Pamelia; many nieces and nephews.  

A sister, Catherine Calhoun, and a brother, Richard Bourgouin, died before her.
