OMAR, N.Y.  —  Brian P. Korwek, 50, Omar, passed away at his home on Oct. 30, 2009.

The memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sat., Nov. 14, at the Omar United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda J. Springstead officiating.

Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown.

Mr. Korwek was born in Carthage, MS, on Feb. 14, 1959, the son of Alexander D. and Katherine Moore Korwek. 

He had been in the restaurant business all his life. He was the restaurant supervisor at the Three Village Inn, Stoney Brook, Long Island, then at several different restaurants in the North Country, including P. J.'s River Rat Cafe, Fishers Landing.

He enjoyed biking, fishing, and loved his friends and Omar.

Mr. Korwek is survived by his father, Alexander D. Korwek, Fla.; his brother and his wife, Dr. Alexander D. "Chip" and Julie Korwek, Watertown, an aunt, and his nieces and nephews. 

His sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" Mays, died before him.
